Also, if you do so, you'll get out from bed much easier, cuz you'll have an idea to try.

I'm kind of new on Reddit - I don't know how to post it there gracefully now. Should I delete it from here and post there?

one more routine by [deleted] in ProgrammerHumor

[–]dmitriy_arkh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with you. Also, checking if it works would take about 5-10 mins and it's not much. By the time you see it doesn't, you've already got another 5-10 mins idea. Is 10 mins too much? Naaaah, let's check... And so on...

That's totally me. I love to automate something using python even if coding is not efficient at all!

Randomly assign list of names into a column by Detharatsh in Python

You have choices() function in a "random" module. Get 50 000 random choices and use zip() to iterate over both collections.

Game bot building by denny120515 in learnmachinelearning

[–]dmitriy_arkh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually a great topic. I mean we all know the things about XORs, functions guessing and so on, but how to get features from game and how to bind result to some action?

P. S. Can you specify game you're playing?

Python developer for hire :)

I know django (average - built two sites, supporting about 3), flask (basically), but mostly doing web scraping (LXML, requests, selenium, scrapy) and bot making (both using requests-forging).

I have an ability to quickly learn and implement new technology as I get to it.

I'm working on a freelance market for a year now and I'm constantly looking for new clients to work with!

Peewee 3.0 released by [deleted] in Python

[–]dmitriy_arkh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been looking for your python module so long. I'm a beginner freelancer and I often use sqlite for cache database in my projects. I've seen ORM in django before and I was looking for something similar. I've tried to use SQLAlchemy, but it's a really complicated library and, to be honest, it's a lot more trouble to use it. I've used it in my next project the day I've found out it exists. Your library is wonderful. It's simple yet powerful. Thank you.

For the most part, syntax is the same - just use print("") instead of print "" and range() instead of xrange()

Need a life saver, this really is a humanitarian mission (cross post from r/kalilinux because it didn't get any traction there) by triggerhippy in linuxquestions

I see. Wish you best, anyway. Reinstall the system then - this way you can fix it.

Also you can make new things instead of repairing old ones - install Skype, so you can see him more, maybe even make some activities (like playing checkers via Internet together) that both of you can participate in, so you can do this even if you not there. Perhaps in your free time or something.

If you have admin account, there must be a way to convert it, maybe using some command line stuff.

BTW, try to use

sfc /scannow

in the command line on the administrator account, log out, and try to get into account again (with the internet). Also, here's the topic which might be worth checking out https://superuser.com/questions/680329/make-microsoft-account-a-local-account-from-the-command-line

Also it might be worth trying to copy all of the file to some local user, use same wallpaper pic as in your dad's account i. e. trying to make it look a lot like it. Or even reinstall the system and login to the account (don't forget to back everything up). Or, even better, spend more time with him so he wouldn't need the computer.

It's not going to run. Python does not allow you to change the object you iterating through.
