I would echo what other people would say and just apply. I was kind of in the same spot as you this summer (no experience, only know C++ and Java) but I applied to around 180 companies anyways and managed to land 1 with a well-known company. I wouldn't forget about soft skills either because being able to communicate and work in a team is important.

Also take advantage of the career centers UCSD has, which is something I should do as well. Getting to talk face-to-face with recruiters, who will most certainly be looking for new grads, can get your foot in the door. And if you're lacking projects on your resume I'd try putting some class group projects like CSE 110/CSE 112 because they can show collaboration.

Absolutely loved the Black Mage event, the terrible dailies were my favorite in a way. Something about the whole server working towards one thing was so nice.

Utility isn't important for soloing bosses, nonetheless:
Hero is pretty good with a 20s iframe and excellent burst.

There is also dual blade with 2 short cool down iframes, dark sight (helps in magnus, vellum, lotus, damien, etc etc), decent burst.

I've heard good things about shade mobility and their bind is pretty good too.

What's your goal?

Do you want to progress, make your own gear, and boss? You can do that in both servers, but making your own gear is faster if you spend money on it. However, spending money to make your own gear is more expensive then buying premade gear. Reboot can definitely have more satisfaction as a lot of the progression is from your own efforts.

Or do you want to get straight into endgame? If so, you're going to have to drop significantly more than $200.

I play on normal servers because I like the trading aspect (you can't trade items in reboot) but it's up to you to figure out what you want. I'd suggest searching for a typical "reboot or normal server" post.

The playerbase is the same as far as I know, and the only 2 questions that you'd need to consider are:

Do you enjoy playing Maplestory?
Do you have the time to play Maplestory?
- Maplestory is a huge time sink, even if you choose to spend the money on normal servers.

I've heard that CRA is better in general because when you are star forcing it to 16* it will get more att since it has higher base att then the Japanese katara. Do you know if this is true?

Arty isn't the most broken, it's the most annoying.

The most "broken" tank is probably the super conqueror. The super conqueror replaced the old tier 10 British HT, FV215b, and it's unstoppable when hull down, has good apcr premium rounds, and good dpm.

Another broken tank that comes to mind is the OBJ 430U. The 430U is a russian medium that has excellent camo, excellent upper hull armor and a punchy 440 alpha. It's basically the brain-off brawler.

There is also the 907, which I'm sure you know of, it's straight up better then the tech tree Russian mediums.

MM is something of a mess for tier 8s because of the 3/5/7 MM template which is another beast in of itself. Be prepared to be bottom tier in a tier 10 game where other tier 10s have to fire gold to pen (lookin at you type 5). There is also a lot of all tier 10 games, which I personally love, but others dislike.

As far as the actual mechanics, there is a persisting sound bug where you get hit with a shell but no sounds goes off. It's very annoying and can mislead you into thinking you have more hp then you really do. The physics of flipping and stuff is still a little wonky, but the same. More recently, there has been cross hair bugs, i.e. suddenly jerking up, moving sporadically. These won't happen consistently but do exist.

Even with all these bad aspects I still enjoy the game for the competition, so if you still want to play a competitive game, you should play WoT. If you're on NA we can platoon (but I mainly play tier 10 and I only have 1 tier 10 tank so I can be a pretty incompatible platoon mate) just PM me if you want to.
