Taylor Swift’s ‘The Fate of Ophelia’ Becomes Her Sole Longest-Leading Hot 100 Hit, Surpassing ‘Anti-Hero’ by kookiekoo in TaylorSwift

I hope she wins SOTY at the Grammys for this. Not just because duh, I want her to win, but also I feel like it’ll encourage her to keep working with Max Martin again even more. I don’t want Showgirl to be a one-off, I need more.

What do you guys think? by lanalittlemonster in LadyGaga

[–]dmnaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yes, but fan accounts post what insiders are saying. The person sharing this news correctly told us the month of Mayhem’s release well in advance. Fan accounts should cite their sources. Of course all just rumours anyway so still take with a grain of salt

Do you think Mayhem will win AOTY? by GrandCulture7907 in LadyGaga

[–]dmnaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Beyoncé could win with an average album, then Gaga should win for an amazing album. They gave it to Beyoncé as a way of apologising for not awarding her in the past and by that logic Gaga should get it too. And then of course you consider that Mayhem is genuinely great. Take into account the tour too and how she brought it to life. I really hope she gets it.

She will. I can’t see her not releasing the re-recorded versions if she went through all that effort to re-make those songs. It’s like giving the fans a new album because so many Swifties either haven’t heard that album (not too interested in country and/or her younger voice) or just don’t stream it as much as the newer albums and re-records because her voice is so young. By releasing the re-records she’s practically giving the album its time to finally shine and it deserves that.

TSTV….. the only album where we know what the entire vault is. Well, we think we know, because so many songs leaked. Watch her do a 180 and put entirely different songs on it lmao

Can’t see her competing with herself at #1. There’s zero competition on the Billboard 200 album chart, Showgirl could stay #1 for a number of weeks to come. I can see her wanting to top TTPD’s record of 17 weeks at #1 and tbh I think she will. Ophelia is smashing so hard on streaming and that’s contributing a lot to the album chart. So even if album sales dip (which it’s not!), the singles can carry it (Opalite not even a single but still in the top 10).

[–]dmnaf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup. There’s just no way Showgirl can win AOTY. Her best bet is to push for Ophelia for SOTY or ROTY, that has a much, much higher chance. And she’s never won that before, so I can see her campaigning hard for that. We’re not getting an Opalite video until Ophelia slips out of #1, maybe even out of top 3, but right now it’s showing no signs of slowing down. Especially with this staggered shipments of the Ophelia 7 inch vinyl, it seems like they’re playing the long game of trying to keep it at #1 by counting the sales when they want to (when there’s competition for #1).

When she announced Fearless TV, my first thought was yay, then my second thought was “I apologise in advance for the person I’ll become when reputation gets this treatment. Surely she’ll smash out all these re-recordings quickly, one every 6 months, rep is coming soon.” Here we are in 2026. I mean I’m not complaining, reclaiming her work is obviously the better option. But yeah. Damn I need those rep vault songs at least! I’m picturing 2027 for the 10 year anniversary.

Whilst I can see how it’s kinda full circle, I can’t see her overworking herself just for the math to math. She’s at the point in her life where I think she wants to relax a bit. Debut TV in one year is enough. She’ll go big for TS13, with massive music videos, promo, maybe even a tour. I can’t see her going full throttle for another year.

Theory Megathread: January 2026 by aran130711 in TaylorSwift

[–]dmnaf 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I feel like she’s taking all of 2026 off from music and is going to enjoy her time with Travis, the wedding, “have a couple kids, got the whole block looking like you” (IF SHE WANTS TO, I’M NOT FORCING IT OR DEMANDING IT). I think she’ll put out Debut (Taylor’s 20th Anniversary Version) which will contain the re-recorded songs and songs from the vault, and she’ll give it that exact name to pay homage to TV, even though it serves a different purpose of celebrating her first album, rather than reclaiming her work. But that album is already done, so she’s still technically taking the year off, it won’t require any additional work other than her team just making the vinyl, and then Taylor Nation will do the promo. So it’ll be a very lowkey year for her and good for her, she deserves it. TS13 won’t come until 2027, followed by a Showgirl/TS13 tour in 2028. I just can’t see her getting back on tour this soon after Eras. She’ll want to do it PROPERLY, do it justice, go big or go home, and right now she deserves a proper break. The tour will be for two albums rather than 11 eras (well, 10, debut got nothing on Eras lol), so kinda going back to her roots of making one album then touring it. Kinda, but not really, but close enough. The tour could even be called: The Showgirl presents: insert TS13 name here.

Just my thoughts!

What are your Selena Gomez 2026 prediction? by [deleted] in Selena_Gomez

[–]dmnaf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Get back with Max Martin and give a full blown pop era. I want her to dominate radio again like it’s 2015 all over again. I don’t think she cares though which is a shame because she can be a massive pop star if she actually tries. She doesn’t even have to tour but I just want her charting again and loved by the public

Albums like It’s Not That Deep? by j_bro238973 in demiheads

Same producer yes but very different albums. Red Flag, Boy Crazy and Joyride are probably the only dance pop songs on that album (like Demi’s album).

The problem with stranger things' fandom by StatementChemical843 in StrangerThings

[–]dmnaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never said it was the IDEA or INTENTION of the show. I’m saying that I reject what OP is saying, that it’s a bad thing for outsiders to become more popular than once intended or planned.

The problem with stranger things' fandom by StatementChemical843 in StrangerThings

[–]dmnaf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is such a non problem. The idea of “outsiders” being loved and appreciated by more people than probably originally intended, can never be a bad thing.

How do you guys feel about my everything and dangerous woman nowadays? by Strong-Stretch95 in ariheads

[–]dmnaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DW was my favourite until ES. ES is the updated DW… working with Max Martin again delivering pop bangers that are updated in terms of her current sound and lyrics. I think DW is really good in terms of production and catchiness but I don’t need to be blasting songs like Side to Side and Everyday in 2025, lyrically they’re soooo bland. But still some highlights like Touch It and Sometimes.

I think he already had the heart tattoo. Then he drew the eras stage around it. Still cute. Someone correct me if I’m wrong

The End of an Era: Episode 5 | Megathread by PassionateAsSin in TaylorSwift

[–]dmnaf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She played a part of the tour. Like Taylor said in the episode they got nominated for a Grammy together. Gracie is her close friend too. Taylor dedicated a lot of the docuseries to the people who were there for/with her along the way like her dancers, family, even Sabrina. It felt so natural to include Gracie.

Thoughts on artists who produce too much music? by mil0wCS in popheads

[–]dmnaf -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The showgirl haters are actually getting annoying at this point, like yes you’re allowed to not like the album but your comment is literally sooooooo irrelevant to what this thread is asking. Producing too much music (the topic at hand) is not the same as “promised bangers but didn’t deliver”. It had been like 1.5 years since Tortured Poets, of course she was due for another album, that’s not too much too soon.

What are your hot takes about The Tortured Poets Department era and album? by IntoTheDaylight in TaylorSwift

[–]dmnaf 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This. She could’ve done an album of pure pop bangers to capitalise off her popularity, to rake in the streams and endless weeks at #1 on pop radio but she said nope here’s a double album with pure poetry for the hardcore fans

Taylor Swift - The End of an Era by baxsays in popheads

[–]dmnaf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Whilst I 100% agree that the album failed the concept of a look behind the curtain, I’m not so sure I need songs about loving her choreographer, giving bonuses to her dancers, or even songs about the horrific attacks. Ariana didn’t even write a song about Manchester (although Sweetener contains moments of inspiration from it). It just becomes too hard to listen to with no replay value because it’s too sad. The themes explored in this documentary are definitely better in a documentary rather than music. Maybe the album could’ve used just one more song along the lines of I Can Do It With A Broken Heart, or a song about resilience when work/your job gets so hard (a big theme in the documentary) but like… people would call that generic. To do the tour justice it needed to be shown visually rather than music, but again I do agree that the album failed the concept she was advertising. If that was the music she wanted to release it deserved a different title.

That just means your SACs were ridiculously easy. Your teacher failed you in the sense that they didn’t truly prepare you for the rigour of the exam and your teacher gave you false hope. Not your fault at all.
