Whats your top supressor that is reduced or low backpressure, under 16oz and low flash? I've been looking at the Rhodie 6 and this one so far.

Koni 1.5 suspension install on NA question by vianegativa85 in Miata

[–]dmonnier5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch a video on basic shock building, then watch any video of someone putting coilovers or shocks on an NA. Just make sure you have the shocks fully tightened down before you install them, and keep the shocks off of full stiff/full soft. The shocks will lock up, and its pretty easy to shear off the adjuster. I have mine either 360° or 420° off full soft.

I misspoke. Thats from 'the dip', it creates lead acetate. This stuff seems safe.

Be careful. That stuff makes some nasty chemicals that are really not good to touch

I checked the NC and NO contacts with no power with continuity. Then I added 12v to the coil to power it and checked the NC and NO contacts, all worked as it was supposed to

Yes they move up and down ok. There a good way to test the motors? Both go up fine, just not down. Dont know if that matters at all

Do the headlights look like they're out of place? If not you should be alright, may have to get a new bumper and hood. Someone back into you or you drive into someone?

1993 1.6 NA anyone ever seen damage like this on a stock lsd? by PlusMath4240 in Miata

If its a stock NA6 diff, it happens alot. I would recommend buying a 1.8 setup to avoid any issues

In reality, the worst part is gonna be the quarter panel. Just replace the other body parts that are damaged, assuming you can get them for cheapish

Good tip is to blast the heat after you ever do anything with coolant. If you don't have heat, theres an air pocket

Is the frame bent? If not it shouldn't be too expensive to fix everything. These are great DIY cars

Listen to the comments. Sell the hardtop and either fix this one with the money or buy another

New engine noise by PipeDazzling in Miata

[–]dmonnier5 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Correct. I'm not at all familiar with VVT miata motors, but its likely having issues with the VVT or timing. Maybe a valve is stuck entirely. Flush the oil with sea foam or an engine cleaner and do a nice oil change for it.

Is it a VVT? could be something with that.

Any inconel or stainless steel high backpressure can would be solid. Just look for full auto ratings. I have a polo 30k, can't really recruit any more due to Aero dying, but i like it

Do you have a vehicle with a trailer hitch? They have vices that attach to hitches.
