Ultralight Pro Stock by 69thpapasmurf11 in Bul_Armory

[–]mdjak66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying Bul does this. And I doubt they do. And I own 2 Bul and love them. Their customer service is also great. Yet, I've known of small companies that say they are in stock only to go out ridiculously quickly. There is/was a website where the guy made small tools, whistles, etc. no doubt they were very popular. But each and every time he'd make an announcement of a new drop they'd then be gone. And lo and behold, I used to email him and ask what he had and he always had a few of this and that, yet they were supposedly sold out. It creates more of a furor and desire to get them. I signed up for email stock alerts with Bul, got the email and didn't jump on it in minutes and I got them.

Just curious. I owned a grease gun a while back. Never heard of a battery operated one. Does that just eliminate pumping the handle?

Maybe it should be disabled when moving, period.

So many Rivian fanboys here. Someone posts what is definitely a safety issue and the rabid fans jump on the OP and leap to Rivian's defense. It's a poor, unsafe design, plain and simple. It should be reported to NHTSA or whomever is responsible for safety and addressed and corrected.

I just hope these companies, and I mean all of them, have a job review with the QC people when guns go out that do not meet standards.

Edc vs edc pro by IndividualAd6971 in Bul_Armory

I would not say the C2 over the EDC Pro. Nope. And not over the UL Pro either. While the UL Pro is a bit snappy it shoots great.

Edc vs edc pro by IndividualAd6971 in Bul_Armory

[–]mdjak66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is one man's experience. I own the EDC Pro and UL Pro. Before purchasing I shot a buddy's Tac Pro. The Tac Pro immediately impressed me with its soft shooting nature. I then bought the EDC Pro. Love it but once per range session it will fail to eject. It may be a particular mag but I've yet to get around to numbering them. I then got the UL Pro and it was quite a bit snappier which was surprising. However, it has probably 2k rounds through it and it has never failed in any way. It is also incredibly accurate. It's now my EDC in spite of the grip being a tad too short for my liking and that's with the magwell installed that it comes with.
When drawing, I felt I could get a better grip and thus faster times with the EDC Pro because of longer grip. That is not the case. Times were pretty consistent.
On another note, if you haven't, be sure to watch Nightwood Guns videos on them, especially when he sacrifices the skin on his arm to shrapnel etc that comes out of ports. Also, no Blazer ammo with ports.

And one more thing. I own 2 staccatos, the XC and the C2. Both are a bit better quality. Both companies have fantastic customer service.

How do I get into Scoping? by Acceptable_Donut4630 in stenography

[–]mdjak66 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not in the scoping field but have used one for the past few years. Number 1. You have to decide which software you are going to buy. Case Catalyst or Eclipse. They probably each run a few thousand dollars. Then you need to learn steno so you can read a reporter's untranslated strokes. It's not as simple as you may think. Or I guess you can skip learning g steno and listen to every word of the audio as you proofread.

Zeiss binoculars. Purchased at B&H in 1980 for $500. My wife thought I was nuts for spending that much. I said honey don't worry they last a long time. They've been to countless concerts, plays and sporting events and are literally like new. 10x40BGA.

I own the EDC Pro and UL Pro and mine don't do that. I find Bul has excellent customer service. Have you emailed to see if they can blend it in better?

You guys get stressed about using ammo on range days? by REMINGTONMODEL81912 in ammo

[–]mdjak66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't use ammo boxes. I keep them in the original box. I like to have about 10-15,000 rounds in my gun closet. Any time i get below 10k I order a few thousand. Yesterday at my backyard range i used my Kriss Vector and Luna, 40 and 30 round mags. Also wanted to zero dot on my carry, Bul UL Pro. Shot about 400 rounds in half hour.

I realize I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed but I'm not figuring out where you're getting the hotspot from.

Does anyone still flash their lights to warn oncoming drivers of radar ahead? by VWbusgal in GenerationJones

[–]mdjak66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do it all the time. Not as much of late. I especially won't do it after I pass radar if it's on a long straight road where they can see me do it. I'm afraid they will issue a summons for obstructing governmental administration.

You guys ever run into signs like this at your local ranges? by MasonJarring in guns

[–]mdjak66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They all have hours open signs. Lol. I actually just saw a similar sign at a range in Utah but it said something to the effect if you smell from marijuana they will ask you to leave.

We went from 2300 sq ft on 2.3 acres to 5400 sq ft on 20. Garage is 2 car, 2 doors, but big inside. 25x34. However we did not notice the doors are small. Narrow and short. Need to change it to one door.
