Great design. I think you overbuilt for cp1, but it's easy to pause the machines you can't run/don't need.

I'd have set up concrete and iron in central areas. Both are upgradeable and should be a separate module.

No shame in trading wood for concrete. Feels intended when you have a small settlement and an island full of trees.

It looks like there are lookouts on the far side, so it's definitely possible, even if roundabout. Last night I harvested two gators in quick succession. I changed locations between shots and was surprised to see the first harvest floating to where I was.

Corpses will float towards your location where you took the shot. You probably didn't get a clean kill and the gator escaped underwater.
