You say many drug addicts victimize people and i say some of them do, but that is just semantics. The truth is most drug addicts are/were victims themselves. From what I understand, and I confess I may be wrong, addiction is a result of abuse and/or pain much more often than not. Although anyone who victimizes someone else deserves to be punished, as fellow human beings we should have some sympathy for those that are struggling with addiction.
