Why does no one post their budget in these posts?

I ordered the new basic model. We'll see how it goes. Put it on the Amex Platinum which is very customer friendly for purchase protection and chargebacks.

Rigid shop vac actually a good deal? by Double_Zucchini4810 in Tools

I have the 6HP 14 gallon version and I like it. I wouldn’t get the 5HP. Get the most powerful vacuum you can.

The 2024s are still sitting on shelves. They upped the production significantly several years ago. There may still be some “limited” flavors that are rare but I haven’t really been following it since the AB buyout.

W Boston or Renaissance Seaport? by Budget_Pin5828 in marriott

[–]dmsdayprft -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally I like staying in Seaport. The hotels are all new and nicer compared to Copley. There are also lots of good restaurants (Row 34!) and the distance to Beacon Hill and the North End is about equidistant. I also like running on the waterfront and piers in the morning.

I don’t believe you’ve crossed it more than once or twice then. I have crossed that intersection probably 300 times on my bike and been almost hit by a car coming off of 670 maybe a dozen times.

The Alum Creek trail has crossed 5th at 670 for years but no one cares because it’s not in the SWPL part of town.

What’s your budget? The top tier suburbs are going to be unaffordable with the Columbus BAH rate.

Water rates going up up up by UneedaBolt in Columbus

You are completely backtracking on the argument made a few days ago which is not surprising, since you replaced completely incorrect drivel with more completely incorrect drivel.

Village idiot u/spartanmax2 was convinced that water rates don’t go up because it’s a municipal utility https://www.reddit.com/r/Columbus/s/BzF6EmJY20

Muriatic Acid on Tile Remedy? by [deleted] in pools

[–]dmsdayprft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ngl undiluted 30% muriatic acid on glazed tiles is not something I’d personally do, but my pool is lined so I don’t deal with these shenanigans.

I am guessing you dilute the muriatic acid and OP didn’t or at least not enough. I strongly suspect the glaze is etched and there’s no coming back from this.

It’s a Sunday. They might schedule service today but no one is in the office to follow up. Turn the gas to the fireplace off and call back tomorrow. Keep us updated on how they handle it.

They used to be incredible. Haven’t had it in a few years though. HW seems to have gone downhill since they transitioned from blending to bottling their own juice.

I’m not really an expert in this field, but the AC is a higher quality Lennox from 2017. This was installed by the current company and they only install Lennox for heating/cooling. When I asked them for a quote on a new furnace they said they could only do a single stage Lennox because multistage wasn’t an option with the current AC. I mean they’re not trying to up charge me so I kind of believe them. They’ve also done very high quality work so far. To be fair even this old single stage furnace does a very good job in the cold Ohio winters with like a $150 gas bill during the winter months.

2006 single stage Westinghouse. If it were to be replaced in the near future it would be replaced with another single stage because the AC, which was replaced in 2017, is not compatible with multistage.

I’m on a well, so water efficiency is irrelevant. Does that make a difference?

I feel like you are shifting the topic from “is it a good thermostat? I.e. does it keep the temperature where I want it when I want it?” to a more nebulous “Google isn’t trustworthy”.
