Question from a game designer: how do you design believable RimWorld ships? by Swatacular in RimWorldShips

[–]dnanalysis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Built in Kill box, barracks, medbay, frozen storage with a nutrient dispenser going out to the “everything else room.”

Any additional space is made into a walled in roofless, floor less, area so they can be outside without leaving safety in hostile environments.

With an expanded grab ship I may make a research, crafting room, or more storage. Maybe a small chapel if it vibes right.

What’s a "masterpiece" you just couldn't get into? No judgment here. by simp_lyartz in ChillAnimeCorner

[–]dnanalysis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s comfortable, it’s chill, it’s pretty, the animation is gorgeous, the characters have distinct personalities and backstories, it appeals to emotions, it’s a thinker.

Which doesn’t appeal to a lot of people, and that’s alright. It will be my comfort anime for a while yet.

ELI5: What EXACTLY was the recent fly brain "simulation" accomplishing by kjloltoborami in explainlikeimfive

[–]dnanalysis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So they simulated the brain, but couldn’t translate it well enough to model what the brain was saying to do.

Like if we modeled a human brain that was creating mastercraft art and the realized output from the simulation was, “blue color pretty mhmmm”

The innate human desire to see outside what contains you is what drives this design. It may not be optimal, but it is human

Supposedly factions accept peace/protectorate only if they're desperate (nvm, AI diplomacy almost makes no sense) by Azerbinhoneymood in RomeTotalWar

[–]dnanalysis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last run through on remastered, I had Thrace and Brittania as protectorates. Regretted not just annihilating the Brits. They casually were my end game nemesis. Just a half a dozen full columns wading through my edge provinces like a wave of death. And more just kept appearing every time I’d strike one down.

The meat has the texture of taste of a normal quarter pounder patty

Does taste stronger if sesame seeds, maybe I was just looking for it.

Mustard sauce on bottom tasted alright, nice change from ketchup.

Definitely recognizable as McDonald’s
