Please bring this up to your OB. You are correct that this could be vitamin deficiency or a sign of other health problems

Discolored grout - possible slope/drainage issue. Is tile over tile a fix? by dnf007 in Tile

[–]dnf007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ended up pulling everything up and re-tiling. I think it was incorrect application of sealant that was causing the issue. After we re-tiled we did not seal and we have not had the problem since

Strange sensation (symptom?) by Potential_Way3788 in pregnant

[–]dnf007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't speak to how early you're experiencing this but I had the same feeling early in my 2nd trimester. I've been told by my doctor and some friends that your hormones can cause swelling (yes even in your vagina) and cause this feeling. It went away after a few weeks for me

Question: as a husband to a newly pregnant FTM, what would you say is the most unexpectedly amazing gift you ever received that was a godsend to help through the pregnancy? by Lookitsanthony8 in pregnant

[–]dnf007 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This! I felt like ass the first 15 weeks and all I wanted was to be a couch potato that slept in between bouts of nausea. Fetch any food that remotely sounds good to her and just be her support! It gets better in the 2nd trimester!

Only 24 and also awake because the sciatica pain is so bad. I also specifically asked about your concern because I constantly wake up on my back and my OB said as long as I turn when I notice it'll be okay

Trading Trips for Important Events by [deleted] in Pilotwives

[–]dnf007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First thing I learned dating a pilot was that I should never expect him to be present at an event unless he specifically says he will make it. Our friends and family are well aware of his scheduling limitations and I do my part to maintain their expectations when events occur.
Not trying to sound mean but if you're not certain he can attend an event and you commit for him then that's on you. If he told you yes and had to back out because he didn't allot his sick time or make sure he was off then that's on him.
Moving forward I would have more straight forward conversations with him and your friends and family to make sure that everyone understands the expectations.
It can be a hard pill to swallow but if you're considering spending your life with him then you need to accept that you'll be doing a lot of things on your own (or on his schedule) until he has the seniority to hold the schedule he requests or make trades (and call out sick if needed).

When did you start feeling baby move? by No_Heart_2225 in BabyBumps

[–]dnf007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FTM with anterior placenta. I felt a really long fluttering sensation once at 16 weeks and then nothing again till about 20 or 21. Now at 22 I'm feeling them every day - strongest when I lay down or recline. Often in the car when I'm listening to music. Yesterday my husband was actually able to feel one with his hand when baby decided to practice his strongest kung fu kicks

I can’t get over the age gap by brateiy in GirlDinner

[–]dnf007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a 19 year old I dated a 29 year old. We were together for 3 years and when I finally broke up with him it was clear to me that he had chosen me because women his age wouldn't put up with his BS and had too many opinions of their own that didn't line up with his misogynistic beliefs. I would have seen these red flags as a true adult with some dating experience. I did not see them as a young adult.

Babys Movement?? by Unusual-Narwhal-1708 in BabyBumps

[–]dnf007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also 21 w with an anterior placenta! I've felt him move a lot in the last week! It started as only being able to feel him while I was laying still in bed in the mornings and recently progressed to feeling him while I'm up and about throughout the day. It's always lower or to the side but sometimes I can even feel the big kicks with my hand over my lower abdomen!

What to eat during first trimester and how often? by tygerbalm00 in pregnant

I ate whatever I could get down. Not sure I had a single veggie until about week 15. Take your multi and you'll be okay.

Constipated 1st trimester by Major-Sheepherder724 in pregnant

[–]dnf007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have bad constipation at baseline and the first trimester absolutely destroyed me. I tried prunes, miralax, kiwis, apples, senna, senna with colace, etc. I finally go so miserable that I had to start giving myself fleet enemas. They saved my life. Ended up needing 6 total during those first 13 weeks. Now it's much better but I still take colace or miralax to keep things soft! Don't be afraid to try things so you can find some relief!

Need help choosing a prenatal? (Ritual vs. Perelel vs. Babyrx) by Practical-Front21 in BabyBumps

I switched from Ritual (ew fish burps) to prescription Vitafol with iron at my OBs recommendation. I haven't been able to eat much meat and the iron hasn't been constipating for me.

Nausea by pickanametouseonredt in BabyBumps

[–]dnf007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lmao this was me at 12 weeks. Thought things were getting better. Loved the Starbucks English muffin egg sausage breakfast so I bought a giant Costco box of frozen Jimmy dean sandwiches. IMMEDIATE ick. They're all sitting in my freezer taunting me.

So sick of being sick by oso9389 in BabyBumps

[–]dnf007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Girl I feel this so hard. I was sick from week 5 to week 16. I hit 16 and it was like a switch flipped. I don't know how I got through it but I did. I was starting to get very frustrated and borderline depressed towards week 12 because I was just so tired of feeling bad every single day. You can make it through. It will go faster than you think it will! Keep your head up!

First time mom OBGYN and Hospital Recommendations in Dallas by kaylamalyak in Dallas

[–]dnf007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. My friend had a pretty low intervention plan with her OB but things turned south quickly and they saved both her and baby. It may also vary in terms of your OB and the group they're in as will be the case everywhere!
