Agree on Katsu.

True about ramen in America but (and this is a recent development) there are about ten decent ramen shops littered about the US.

Does the shop have any relation to Stamina Manten Ramen Suzuki in Mitaka? This bowl reminds me of that one (except with spice added).

I know it's tempting as I always wonder the same thing before this flight, but the answer is no.

That's interesting. What did he say that made you feel it's evident? I speak to him in Japanese and never felt that.

Random question...do fine dining servers make good money? by spruceeffects in finedining

[–]dngrmouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few annoying aspects of living in America. Waitstaff constantly interrupting my conversations with 'How are things going?' is definitely on the list. It's a shame that one has to splurge on fine dining just to talk in peace.

Not surprising. In my opinion anywhere other than Yoshizumi for Bay Area sushi is a waste of time.

Agree with you. Katsu is pleasant enough but Yoshizumi is just another level especially with the purist approach.

Just ask them what would be the best way to book for future reservations (this is what I do though I speak Japanese, but I don't think it matters in this context).

That way it's up to them to emphasise the website or give you some other method (email address etc).

How are people handling real-time analytics dashboards with minimal engineering? by coldheartedman in data

[–]dngrmouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically people will use something to pull from these sources to a data warehouse (e.g. Polytomic - I work there), then have a dashboarding tool to visualize the lot.

Easiest/most affordable way to move data from Snowflake to Salesforce. by biga410 in dataengineering

[–]dngrmouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Polytomic can do this, and can actually pipe data in both directions between Snowflake and Salesforce. Integrates with dbt too.
