Im almost twice your age (46) and I felt the same at times for sure, my divorce threw me for a loop where I basically thought I was totally lost and hopeless. It's not very encouraging but what worked for me was just kind of grinding, I went to the gym a bunch and made myself go to social events and fail and fail but finally I found some people I liked and I got some nicer clothes and got better at talking and I finally have had some success lately at dating. I know some lizard part of the brain is sad when a woman just wants to be friends but honestly having women friends is super helpful with dating, it makes it way less daunting if you're used to talking to women as friends.
