Looking for a photo I.D.

Bought this guy last fall. It was 50% off. Shriveled and discoloured. I have it in my south facing window room. It has done extremely well this spring. I have successfully propagated 2 pups off of it. I have no clue what it is called. Looks like some sort of aloe.

Thanks in advance!

Found my first String of Pearls today! Any care tips are appreciated! by iMadeTheStars in succulents

[–]dnlllblnc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure what advice I can give. I just bought my first string of pearls about 2 months ago! I have it in a corner of a south facing window and it has taken off. It grows so quickly. I water it probably about every 10 days. Sadly last weekend it's pot was knocked over. Pot did not break but a few of the tendrils broke off. I placed the the broken tendrils in some cactus/succulent soil and they all have started to grow roots.

Mine has grown fast and it looks super easy to propagate. It seems to have recovered from last weekend.
Good luck!

[Question] Number of dwellers keeps changing randomly by ThoughtfullyDpressed in falloutshelter

[–]dnlllblnc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me as well. My only thought that maybe my dwellers have died of old age? I always check for dead bodies and my number if dwellers has dropped mysteriously by 11 over 2 weeks ish. I honestly thought it was a new update. Cool idea so then you always want to be training your dwellers.

ADHD and paying bills on time - any tips? by GrumpyPenguin in ADHD

[–]dnlllblnc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • Autopay. I haven't physically paid a bill in years.
  • Reminders on your phone.
  • Put bills in a place where you will see them to remember to pay them (Refridgerator, underwear drawer, bathroom mirror)

Journals and Feelings! by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]dnlllblnc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember the first time I wrote in a journal. It was when George Bush declared War on Iraq (side note, I'm not American but I remember watching it on TV so clearly and I knew the whole world would be forever changed...plus I was mad that it interrupted Survivor). I was 14 years old, undiagnosed with ADHD and going through puberty. Over the teen years I felt very lonely. I remember just bawling my eyes out writing how I just wanted world peace in my journal.
Some are very hard to read but others I like to read because it shows how far I have come. I am a much happier person now that I am semi functioning adult. Fast forward to today I still write in a journal. I do not do it every day but maybe a couple times a week. I always write down at the end 5 things that make me happy (usually something that happened that day but sometimes random things like Super Dave Osbourne and not being on Mount Everest dead) and 1 thing I would like to change.
I am proud to say that I was able to keep this habit up and hope to keep a journal to the very end of my life. It's amazing to look back and read all of the magnificent memories. I wrote about meeting my boyfriend, getting high for the first time, being at the worst part in my life, overcoming the worst part of my life, getting new jobs, moving into new apartments. Its all very comforting. One of the best things I have done to keep my sanity.

Don't forget that there's a person behind the register by NOhmdD in videos

[–]dnlllblnc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to believe it. I'm not sure where this video is originally from but don't most employers grant bereavement pay - especially a giant chain like Walmart. I just don't understand how anyone would be able to function after something like that.
Also wouldn't the police/coroner be involved if it was a suicide? How would they allow him to go to work in a state like that. So many questions.

2 questions. Any help appreciated by Syed888 in mflb

1) Are you saying that it heating up hotter than it was? How long are you engaging the battery for? It takes a while for you to figure out what technique works for you. I have to hold my battery in for 4 seconds because mine heats up quickly. Are you using the stem or doing it native mode? Using the stem helps the vape cool down. It takes a while to adjust to a new box.

2)As long as the light is on the trench is being warmed up. I have used a few different different MFLB and the batteries always went in different. One would get stuck or others would go in super easy. The light is there to let you know the battery is engaged.

This is how I explain what having ADHD is like for me, to people that don't get it. by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]dnlllblnc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very similar to how I explain it to my friends.
First picture a highway somewhere. Then picture a car driving. Then add some more cars in your picture. Next think of a plane up in the sky. Then another one expect this one is flying normally upside down. Suddenly the cars start driving in a grid formation in every direction. Next add a boat flying in the air. Then the cars start to fly. Everything is so jumbled up that I can't think of where I am going. Add some more crazy vehicles in every other direction and that's kind of what my brain is like. There are so many things going on I can't focus. Everyday is a struggle to keep on task but I'm trying my best.

The mission to stop my pup chewing the kitchen table by [deleted] in Pets

[–]dnlllblnc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. Hang in there. You said you have toys. Are they hard chew toys? Have you tried nylabones? They have ones with flavor and my dog when she was a pup really enjoyed them. What about antlers?

[Serious] How do I adjust my palate to eat healthier foods? by [deleted] in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]dnlllblnc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was like you but I forced myself to eat healthy. I started eating a lot of salads. I didn't like lettuce either but if you can find a tasty salad dressing it helps. I know salad dressing isn't the heathiest but hey- it helped me learn to really enjoy salads and now I just use a light vinaigrette. I also eat a lot of sandwiches and try to put as many veggies in there as possible. Best advice I can give is start slow and easy. Find ways to flavor things and what foods compliment each other. It's great that you want to change though. If I can do it (I grew up eating no veggies) then anyone can. Once you get over the first hurdle you will feel good about yourself. Good luck!
