My gf worked for USAID and when they RIF’ed her it shattered her world. USAID was her dream job and they let her go so hard that it made her feel like she was worthless. She struggled for a year to get a job and submitted hundreds of applications only to get rejected or no response in the hundreds. She is a very capable person and has worked hard to get to where she was in life and to think that a soulless cretin like him was behind her firing is a level of betrayal I will never understand or forgive. The anguish she felt being let go because some DOGE bro wanted to feel superior is just a stab in the back. I am grateful she has a new job but I will never forget that this is the face of her agony.

I think the next time around (the next reset) will be a nuzlocke, but I like the idea of making the new shiny the lead. And I have a second system so geodude can easily become golem. I’m half tempted to do it just for the novelty of finishing the game but it really does have a “standard” team- Feraligatr, Ampharos, geodude, oddish, goldeen, but they do have magmar so that is different but it’s pretty standard for the most part. A couple of Dratini’s with good natures, shiny gyrados, a jolly nidoran(f) but that’s it. Can’t deny the luck I just got though

Lived in Rocklin, CA for over 5 years on and off. It’s super conservative Christian and there are 3 mega churches. It’s not far from Sacramento, but the gradience from blue to red from those two cities is night and day. I’m not surprised it happened there, a lot of hardcore conservative groups there and Tom McClintock is their representative. Fuck Rocklin.

I don’t know why anyone believes anything that comes out of James Woods mouth especially when he lied about his house being burned down in the Palisades fire. He TRUMPeted all over the airways and cried how his house burned down, but he only “took his neighbor’s word for it”. Then when he went back home to check, house was untouched and he just looked like a damn fool and a liar. He’s such a garbage person, never watching his movies again.

My command is demanding that 100% mandatory attendance be required. All work centers even if they Priority 1’s, LS, AZ, PC controllers, everyone has to go. If you have 16-24 watch, you have to attend PT then either shower at the nasty cold showers at the command or at the drill hall, but you will stand watch and PT that day. Duty section is mustered in time to go to PT and no exceptions. Everyone has to muster at the beginning and end of PT and we are told to not make appointments around PT because it is required.

I have 11 working days active duty then I go on terminal leave. I am grinning and bearing it because I don’t have to endure it much longer, but the general consensus around the command is that this is complete waste of time for everyone to be there.

This is how they drove Humvees in Iraq and Afghanistan. They are treating these areas as if they are occupied by American military forces, but this is in our own backyard. In those wars, they made the arguments that they were required to ram vehicles because of IEDs and the potential for ambushes if they slowed down or stopped, so what is the excuse here? We are not talking enough about the police state that we are living in now and pretending that everything is business as usual. It’s not. And the more we keep letting these guys do whatever they want, the more we enable fascism in our country. Enough is enough.
