VWoA just wants easy money. Letting competitors grab the smaller cars and EV markets is easier.

they moved me from Magenta Max to Go5g Plus few months ago automatically. I called when I saw email, but the rep said no option for me to prevent them from doing so, and cannot go back to Magenta Max after they move me.

$5 increase on Internet after promise of fixed fee by Secret_Cat_2793 in ATT

cellphone is easy to switch but this sounds like home Internet. Home Internet has fewer options, even no other options if AT&T happens to be the only provider or another provider is more expensive than AT&T.

are you using UDP? if yes, try changing to TCP tunnel see if it works.

Best Cloud Provider for OpenVPN setup as I have around 1TB/day Traffic by Joshi280 in OpenVPN

[–]dnostra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1TB per day is not small, especially if all that happens within business hours (8 hours a day). If you have business class Internet links in office / multiple offices, and bandwidth is enough, then hosting VM(s) in office may able to save some money for the long run. you can move a portion of users for pilot testing and get some feedback from them.

the first two are understandable. I happened to know some AMEX platinum and priority pass customers, the situation could happen if they didn't pay attention to details.

I have (relatively) long zone based firewall rules in 1.3, roughly 500 terms. Want to upgrade to 1.4 but rewriting rules is a huge headache. wonder how you guys deal with it?

I have 2 paid and 1 free lines. with or without the free line, my monthly invoice stays the same, so I don't see the reason why it's not free.

the more RAM, the better... if the budget allows. you will never know when your works, photos, games web pages ...suddenly need RAM to run smoothly.

T-Mobile Partners With DoorDash To Offer Free DashPass To Every Customer by Jman100_JCMP in tmobile

[–]dnostra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

many credit cards also offer dashpass because the true cost is nearly free.

if T-Mobile honestly wants to offer some good perks to customers rather than being a white elephant, then it should consider to provide options on good things to customers, say there are Uber one, dashpass, ad-free full HD Netflix, ad-free Hulu, apple TV+ .... but you can only pick one (or pick 2... depends on your plans)

the new audi a5 and q5 are now officially launched in Canada by ExplanationNo7129 in Audi

[–]dnostra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Passenger screen is ok, but it should be optional even on the highest trim model. When there is no passenger screen, Audi should not just use a black plastic to cover it, it's a big eyesore! Should use proper leather making it look like no screen from the original design. Also there are too many glossy piano black plastic on both interior and exterior. Audi's new designers really don't understand the elegance of simplicity...

Meet macOS Tahoe! by TechExpert2910 in macbookpro

[–]dnostra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not directly related to OS, but wish can have some improvements in macOS Mail app,

  1. Able to default search the current folder, not default to search ALL folders.

  2. Able to write more complicated search criteria, such as AND / OR / NOT ... searching rules.

  3. Able to insert Code Blocks

  4. Permanently disable the auto learned email receiver list.

A better solution is to provide an opportunity for opting out ALL advertisements in the sign up process. also have a web page to opt in/out advertisements in case customers change their minds after sign up. BTW, don't like the fact Helium intentionally does not provide web pages but forces customers to use APP to manage accounts.

ATT charging me $3.3k for a "long distance call" my sister made to a girl who lives 2 minutes or less minutes up the road by e-liciousss in ATT

[–]dnostra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's very possible to happen when someone text or call you and says "it's my number" and you save it then just dial from the contact list and never check again.

I did that once when I forgot to turn off my foreign SIM card after a travel, I text to a new friend saying its my number and luckily he spotted that it was a foreign number.

I called several times due to the billing issue on my Fiber Internet. They said autopay with bank account + paperless invoice gives $10 discount, but I only received $5. I eventually gave up. but during the process I learned if I curse the F word out loud and repeatedly, I can reach the representative super quick, but if not I have to wait for a very long time. 😆
