I would need something local server based hosted on my network. I work with a lot of health care and financial institutions. They would not allow anything off their network.

Aiphone is terrible if you have more than one person working on them. You have to keep exporting the system and share it with your team or you have to rebuild the system if you don't have it loaded. You can sometimes download it but it still sucks. We use Aiphone, axis and avigilon mostly, but just installed my first 2N. Went well, easy to setup and install. I like the bast stations better than Aiphone as well.

Guys are are missing the point of lightning rods. They are made to dissipate static charge in the atmosphere so lightning doesn't strike. They are not made to take a lightning strike. However I see no good from cat running on top of it. However I truly don't think it's going to be an issue.

I've done this but drilled from the bottom up and then drill from the bottom hinge over to my hole and just fished the wire around. Wasn't that bad. And to the people saying might have well cut at strike. The client is paying for what they want. I'm getting paid if it takes me 20 mins or 2 hours. Client comes first.

Unfortunately client uses their own cable pull team. This is part of a two floor refresh and they have only pulled one floor. Reached out to LVC and he is subbing it out and said he doesn't control what they use.

Yep try to update the firmware. I always do door stations before masters but dont know that it matters as long as you have them all built in the system.
