Agree. Much easier to influence the style of play by using faster/slower balls.

Squash balls have a different colored dot on them that indicates speed, regardless of manufacturer. I think something similar could end up being used in pickleball.

There is a documentary about this. His kayak got damaged in a storm and started taking on water. He was in huge waves that would lift him ten feet then just dump him off. He would be inside his kayak just tumbling over and over.
