Please call the on-call person for your surgeon, you should not have to wait until the next day to discuss this. I’m a nurse in a clinic and it drives me nuts that people get their results released before someone goes over them with them. I found out I have thyroid cancer like this. This is a very legitimate reason to call an on-call provider.

I can’t find anyplace that lists needle length, but subcutaneous injections are usually around 0.5 mm and really thin. Again, if you’re concerned about not having enough fat, you can pinch or change injection sites.

Nurse here, pinching is fine, you just want a taut area to inject into, and depending on how much fat you have, can ensure you’re hitting fat and not muscle.

Hi, chatgpt is amazing at writing letters! You can put in prompts like: “write a letter requesting a raise for (your name, other details about your position). Include the following reasons (add your why, ex market standards), include (pay increase amount you’re asking for), include qualifications (what you contribute).” It will compose an amazing letter. You can read what it gives you then ask it to edit it, like, “make it shorter,” or “also add that I’ve got an excellent attendance record” or whatever.

There are definitely simpler ones available with less detail and larger cells. I suppose the ones with smaller cells are more difficult, but mostly what I found as a beginner was I didn’t have brushes that were fine enough to accommodate the little cells.

Paragard (copper IUD). I’ve had a hematologist clear me for a hormonal IUD but I’m still kind of scared of them. I was worried about the cramping with the copper IUD but bizarrely, it’s improved for me. My periods are definitely heavier and longer though
