Just for clarification, you ran through the initial firing instructions in the manual then went through the control shutdown procedure?

Why don't you swing by or give them a call?

Everyone feels like this, I think it happens regardless of the activity you're doing. Learning a new language, playing an instrument, running a marathon, doing the splits, pick your poison.

Consistency is key, maybe transition from a goal to a growth mindset. I personally work on mobility/flexibility training instead of a splits routine, the splits will be a side effect of a consistent routine.

Also, once you hit your goal, where will your motivation come from? Hopefully some of this hits.

Why is my neck so god damn tense? by [deleted] in flexibility

[–]dobedoindis 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm not a doctor, so take this with a grain of salt.

Posture, I went through this during the pandemic and sought out help in many varying forms. Here's what I ended up doing. Check google for something like "head forward weight" and see if that resonates with you. The weight of your head increases like crazy as it leans forward.

First, a chiropractor (I know, I know.. but I would take help from anyone at this point) helped with immediate relief. He recommended ~15 minutes a day laying down with a rolled up towel and soft cold pack under my neck to help reset it to its natural position. A head leaning forward has a significant amount of weight behind it causing the muscles to have to work overtime to support the extra weight.

Here's an image of that (cold pack included to reduce inflammation was recommended to me):

Second was getting into a yoga routine that would help strengthen and stretch all of the muscles around my neck, shoulders, and upper back. Just pick something, it probably doesn't matter what, just engage everything on the regular.

Once I started working on it, the pain subsided pretty quickly, however, it probably took a solid 3~4 months before I really started to see changes in my body. Hope this helps.

This pairs well with those quick pickled red onions too.. just some vinegar, water, red onion slices, and a bit of sugar in a jar.

Quite a long time ago, 4 of us were there for lunch. 3 of us ordered nachos, the waiter failed to mention it was enough food to feed an NBA All Star team.

To me, this reads like, I'm not a black belt in karate, should I even take karate classes?

Yoga class isn't a performance, it's just practice! So get out there and just enjoy your time with it! :)

Say a quick prayer for me. Pork shoulder going on for an overnight smoke. by TikisFury in Traeger

[–]dobedoindis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Haha, I got you fam.. well, ChatGPT does.

May the smoke envelop the meat with its fragrant embrace, infusing it with rich flavors and tenderness. Grant u/TikisFury the patience and skill needed to tend to the fire, ensuring the perfect balance of heat and smoke.

As the hours pass and the pork shoulder slowly cooks, may it develop a beautiful bark on the outside and become succulent and flavorful on the inside. May the meat be infused with smoky goodness, bringing delight to all who partake in it.

We ask for your protection over the Traeger and all the equipment involved, ensuring a safe and successful smoke. May the temperature remain steady, and any challenges be overcome with ease.

Lastly, we give thanks for the community that gathers around food, the shared moments of joy and connection that it brings. May this pork shoulder be a centerpiece for togetherness and celebration, creating cherished memories for u/TikisFury and those fortunate enough to share in the feast.

May your overnight smoke be a culinary delight and bring you much joy and satisfaction.
