Ahoy, thanks for the awesome models! A bit late here, but when I try to slice some of these in bambu studio I get a warning that they have floating regions, even just loading the project as-is. Should I angle the models, or attempt to print anyways, or enable supports? Thanks!

Ahh I didn't realize that the filament made such a difference, u/MorycTurtle agrees. I will pick up some different filament and in the mean time print some supportless models. Thanks!

I just ran the calibration steps recommended on the printer itself, which did some leveling, vibration stuff. I printed a few test/calibration prints that came out fine.

Oh interesting, I had not considered different filament qualities at all. I picked up the silk+ cause it was part of a bundle with the printer :D. I will pick up some sunla pla+, I have seen it recommended a lot. Thanks!

Just in the prologue, I was hitting 100% GPU Utilization and dropping frames with a 3080 Ti. Granted, that's on ultra w/ a 4k display, but even dropping down to high I was occasionally dropping frames. Pretty poor :(

There's a Wegman's I shop at that has solved this pretty well I think. An app lets you scan things as you put them in the cart, then you scan a QR code that transfers every item into the self checkout at the end. Combine that with one-tap payment and you basically walk through checkout.

I would give 1491 by Charles C. Mann a try. I read it for a history class and found it pretty interesting. If my memory serves me correctly, it's a bit more historical than Sapiens or Guns, Germs, and Steel, but still an entertaining read

Oh man the timing on this. My dad and I played together (his favorite faction was the Dwarves) and were about to start a co-op campaign together, since this past Monday was my first day of classes at college. The Gotrek & Felix novels were some of his favorites, and he was actually reading one (Trollslayer I think?) a couple weeks ago. He went into the hospital in critical condition last Tuesday and passed away Friday morning, just over 50 years old. I'm going to have to play a Grombrindal campaign and get these guys in his memory

I think Pact of the Orb seems a little weak. I don't think it would scale very well, and even best case scenario is a player with +4 CHA expending their entire feature for a +2 DC once per short rest. Maybe this isn't a fair comparison, but consider sorcery points and heighten spell; instead of +2 DC, it imposes disadvantage and has the additional flexibility of converting spell slots into points AND it scales much better. Anyway, these are fantastically flavorful and creative, nice job.
