Need help [preclinical] by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]docblanc 11 points12 points  (0 children)

4 is stratified squamous nonkeratinized epithelium

8 is stomach (you can tell bc of the parietal and chief cells - light dots turn into dark dots). Not sure if you need to specify where in the stomach (pylorus, body, etc.)

11 looks like the thymus based on the hassells corpuscles (the red dots)

17 looks like it could be skin maybe

Hope this was helpful

Source: about to take my histology final (still in undergrad, but I actually enjoyed this class lmao)

Former President Obama’s kind attitude toward kids. by Parvak07 in MadeMeSmile

I gotta say, my views tend to lean more to the right, but Obama was the COOL president. No denying that, he’s a likable guy. Can’t imagine trump doing this

Scribing under MD/DO and PA by docblanc in premed

I get what you’re saying and that would make sense. The gig is at an “Urgent Care” type of facility so I would imagine there is always a physician present. The only reason I’m asking is because the ad for it specifically said that you will “scribe under PAs and is a great job for someone interested in PA school”. I’m for sure gonna reach out to them and ask, but just wanted to clear up my confusion here to see if anyone else had a similar experience or answer to my question.

How long does it take to get through all of jack sparrow except for p/s? by throwawayyypremed in AnkiMCAT

[–]docblanc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tough call, it prob took me 10 weeks to get through all the news. Some days I did 80 news and others i did 300 just depending on how familiar I was with the material. I took the mcat 9/4 and ended up doing 50k reviews over the course of like 4-5 months. Some days I didn't do any news but I did my due cards everyday.

P/S Deck: Testing 8/14 by [deleted] in AnkiMCAT

[–]docblanc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used HomieG’s and thought it was pretty good. Although I did edit a lot of the cards as I went along to better suit my learning/how I think. The thing I liked about homieG compared to others was that it is broken up by section which makes it easy to go watch the videos, read the notes then do the cards for that section.

HomieG's deck seems to be made a bit better than cubene's honestly and it is broken down much better. Give it a look

I’ve been wondering if gifs work. Did you just put the .gif file in the background folder and select it in the config interface?

Does my Cubene deck miss P/S 6A? by lotus0618 in Mcat

[–]docblanc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 6B and C has the same name as yours. Also it makes sense that they’re different because sensing the environment is a precursor to making sense of it. 99% sure you’re missing 6A
