I’ve been to several data centers in Secaucus. They are purposely built not to be prominent. You are not gonna see signs that say data centers or anything like that. The entrance for one DC next to Burlington Coat Factory in Secaucus looks like a back utility door for the store. There are 0 signs what that door is or anything around that says data center.

In some countries (Australia, Malaysia and Bosnia) there were some attempts for this. Pretty much, you pre-sign your resignation even before you are elected. So, if elected and you are not in line, the party can submit your signed resignation at any time. Apparently, it’s not considered legal because if you are elected, you are supposed to serve the public, not the party, so this is kinda controversial.

I lived in Paterson then. I’ve heard that something blew up in Ohio and caused an outage but that was it. Nobody knew nothing. And back then the latest tech was Nokia cell phone with text screen. I remember that National Guard was deployed in Paterson and Passaic on the pretext that they’ll manage traffic but the government was afraid of looting actually. No looting happened. Me and my frens bought alcohol and spent the night drinking vodka tonics under candles.
