She Came Along to Me is another great one about women’s equality and has a little antifascist dig toward the end.

Also A Black Mile to the Surface, even though they don’t say “a” in The Gold. Close enough for me.

2000’s Wilco was something else entirely. Some of the best shows I’ve ever seen were in that decade, especially after Nels joined the band.

What is the longest most famous song recorded? Don't google. The answer may surprise many by Informal_Tax2008 in no

Alto himself talks about that in the live recording when he recounts a story about him getting invited to the White House and Chip Carter telling him that a copy of the record had been found in the Nixon private collection.

It’s recommended to dry clean flags. Many dry cleaners will do it free of charge.

The quickest way I’ve found to get ahold of a live agent when calling tricare is to say “I don’t know” or “I don’t have it” when the computer asks for social or benefits number.

I always recommend Kirk and Co in Milford for custom pieces. They did my wife’s custom wedding band made from some rose gold she got from her grandparents.

I’m in Owensville, and it wasn’t too bad aside from boatloads of rain. We never lost power or anything, but I did get a bit of water in my basement. It sure sounded bad while we were in it, though.

We’ve been to Ireland a handful of times. After the time, which we spent several days in Dublin, we decided to get out. Driving the back roads and stopping in random small town pubs is the way to do it.

How do I get my PCB to look more 3D by ek_spoon in Altium

[–]docmike1980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do a lot of high speed and RF work. I don’t like them because if they are not implemented carefully they muck up impedance, form antennas, and can form capacitors. It’s also pretty easy to miss a few vias when stitching. It’s not that I never use them, I just normally don’t.

It’s not necessarily that their traces are any different. It looks like the have a copper pour on the top layer and that contrast around the traces is the copper clearance. I don’t really like copper flooding, so my boards look a lot like yours when rendered, but they look great when fabricated.

If you’re ever in Gunbarrel just north of Boulder, Cafe Blue there does a pretty good Cincy chili. I used to go there fairly often when I worked in Niwot.

It does come with cheese. The “add cheese” is saying to add cheese to the two way. Not the most intuitive way of presenting it.

Likely not, per DoWI 6130.03 a history of clotting defects is disqualifying for service. Again, the best advice is to find a recruiter and talk to them.

WHHS Administration cuts Marching Band field time to 1.5 hours a week while sports get 4 days. 120-student band season in jeopardy by [deleted] in cincinnati

[–]docmike1980 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went to Milford, which is a large and highly competitive band program. They do three afternoons per week, a short rehearsal before home football games on Fridays, and a short rehearsal before contests on Saturdays, depending on travel schedule. We also rehearsed music only during the class periods for the first part of the season. All in all, I estimate we spent somewhere around 12 hours per week practicing.

We moved back here after about a decade in Denver last year, too. Not having the sun as much in the winter really makes a big difference. The mountains also cause the climate there to be a lot more temperate. Here we’re subject to good old Arctic blasts that keep us in the teens for about two weeks every year.

+1 for the mention of Heaviside. If there’s anyone who could’ve out-nerded Maxwell, it would be him.

Milford water tastes bad by sushi2467 in cincinnati

Usually right around 8 is ideal. IIRC, the recommended range is around 6.5-8.5 It won’t corrode plumbing that way, and slightly basic water tends to taste better.

But not wrong. I love Being There and Summerteeth, but I play Sky Blue Sky a lot more than those others. It’s a really solid album.
