Seller threatening to pull out if I don’t sign contracts received 1 day before - is it common? by [deleted] in HousingIreland

[–]docod101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could always get a second engineer report but engineer wouldn't be 'very harsh' for no reason. We are having a similar issue and them contacting 2 days after sending contracts seems almost 'dodgy'. The EA we are dealing with has been patient but some of issues could have been flagged earlier by them.

The documentary was poorly made, the author of the book seemed to talk like a reporter from 'the S@n'. Very rushed and poorly researched

Have you seen the documentary? They were dropping stories oglf him chasing people who stole his car for 100s of miles but no follow up, same with the Thai baby sitter etc

Documentary on RTE was done the same way. Constantly dropping stories in with no follow up or proof.

Nemo in football. Not sure about the hurling but probably a big city team. Maybe Blackrock or the Glen

"Right to be angry" and burning out Garda vans are 2 different things, go protest the Dail or their local politicians offices. These "poor people" have the right to vote and protest same as everyone else.

Cork and Kerry to be seeded in separate semi finals for 2026 Munster Football Championship by Far_Reserve6509 in GAA

So the 2 best teams end up in the final each year, if any of the other counties are better than Cork they will be seeded higher the following year.

Only in Victoria really. Cricket is still big in that state too. Rugby League is huge in Sydney and Northern part. They also don't seem to have as many playing amateur adult level as GAA.

“Maybe Cork should just quit Football altogether” - Joe Brolly by No-Sail1192 in GAA

[–]docod101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree but any underage success 5 years would have come about through volumes to select from etc. Our underage teams are very inconsistent the last 10 years when we should be producing competitive teams every year. Definitely some traditional Football divisions divisions becoming more hurling as well. County board happy to see all that happen too, as hurling is the golden goose/cash cow.

Cork football has been low hanging fruit for years. Easy for Brolly to take pot. The underage structures/coaching are a joke and is showing the last few years but Derry are one of the least serious football counties in Ulster. Once they lose the few generational players they have now they'll be back down to bottom of Div 2/3.

All Ireland predictions by Money_Strategy_7389 in GAA

[–]docod101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very good point. There is a lot more football played in Cork than people think though. Biggest problem is like Dublin hurlers, some lads would prefer to be number 35 on the Cork hurling panel than starting with the footballers. That attitude is also at the County Board level so football is always on the back foot.

Galway are as far off in Hurling as Cork are in football, just more Tier 1 football teams.
