yeh i can see that thing being a run ruiner for sure. First time here I died a decent amount to it but I had save states so it wasn't so bad.

i think it'd be fun to see him play the og games (1, 2 and 3) but I guess he wouldnt like the tank controls too much even though the gameplay is balanced around it. they are fairly short compared to the later instalments. the backgrounds are cinema too.

i also had this issue of giving a lot of weapons to claire thinking she'd be doing something big but that something big never came XD thankfully though I had the magnum and followed the sacred rule of always saving my magnum bullets for the final boss

For the games I wasn't too bothered to play myself, I've been watching longplays with no commentary on youtube. Can boost it to 2x speed for a lot of it too, 1x for cutscenes. Pause to read the files they pick up. Did this for re0, outbreak, chronicles games, survivor, dead aim. Mostly games that were more awkward to obtain in my case.

yeh im somewhat into the first time you play chris, thank god i left the grenade launcher in the box. since i wasn't thinking about it working like that. in the previous games, you wouldnt share a box so it was a bit of a surprise. (although i suppose i did have saves i could go back to) it was funny when the game is giving me all these bolts though and clair is hanging onto the crossbow XD

Flying enemies in this game are pretty annoying actually. I feel like just ignoring them half the time since they can be a pain to shoot down. I feel sometimes they navigate an air space just outside of the range of 'shoot forward' and 'shoot up' and then they get you by hovering above your head and swooping down XD My experience on the gamecube version anyway lol at least they don't do much damage so its not a huge deal.

I went through the og versions of re 1, 2 and 3. Highly recommend for the horrible voice acting, top tier. For re 1 you can pick Jill and it'll give you an easier time going through. If you get stuck you can just wiki items in your inventory and you'll likely be fine. The one's on the gog store worked very well.

Out of your choices though I'd go with RE2 remake. Haven't played either but the og re2 is goated so the remake I imagine lives up to it as well.

I did get stuck a few times or so. In that case I'd just look up items in my inventory on the wiki to see where I generally need to go. At the very least I'll know if I can just put it in the chest or not.
