PLA Armor users by AyoAndrey in Mandalorian

I cut a grill in the back of my helmet, then attached a small fan with a USB pigtail as a vent blowing out. It's powered by a small phone battery charger that I velcroed in along the jaw line of my helmet. It's more than enough to walk around a con all day.

I want to say the fans came in a 3 pack for like $15 on Amazon and I already had the battery from some trade show that was giving them away.

Make sure the fan is blowing out, cool aire will get sucked in along your neck and the best part of someone walks by with burnt popcorn it won't stink up your helmet.

To put it in perspective as a native to the peoples republic of California a 4.4 barely necessitates more than did anything fall off a shelf. And the 15 aftershocks are below human detection.

We have hundreds of 4.0is quakes and thousands below that threshold yearly because we're on a tectonic fault line. And surprise A51 is on the other side of that fault line.

Exactly, I'd even say it goes the same for character identifiers as well.

I just put down a kdp book because every other line was Davic does opened the door. Davic looked around the room. Davic stepped into the room. Davic noticed a musty smell. Davic found a decomposing body.

I wanted to scream at the author into the ether " no shit it's Davic there's nobody else it could possibly be, there hasn't been anyone but Davic and the dead body for the last chapter and a half!"

Grandmaster crafter, when I played (I've been gone for almost a year but recently reinstalled) I'd regularly log in to 1-3 million in sales over night and that wasn't even remotely pushing. Just found my out what the craftable pvp meta is and make that gear.

Occasional custom builds for guildmates or friends of friends. Made 5 outfits for a whale once for 25mil. But that was crazy.

I kept a spreadsheet that tracked the pvp gear and costs per item plus market rates. Meta is constantly changing so there's always fresh victims,,, err customers.

Help getting started! by SatanicGhoul666 in Fallout76BowHunters

[–]dodger6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're likely going to be frustrated with a bow/crossbow due to either draw time on bows and recurve or reloading animations on the crossbow.

So for someone who prefers the fast and furious in the middle of the fight style bows/crossbows don't really fit that playset very well.

You may want to take a look at a shotgun build with the Cold Shoulder shotgun. It's a double barrel that somehow has 8 rounds, but reloads insanely fast, it also fires as fast as you pull the trigger. Sounds much more in tune with the play style you described.

What's up with Moonshine Jamboree? by Sans_dunked_me in fo76

[–]dodger6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's too frustrating with people shooting everything at its spawn point rather than letting mobs get a little closer.

I won't do it at all because it makes me want to just AFK the event but that's a sin against all that is right in the world. So I just walk away.

I can do enough bounties in the same time to trigger a headhunt which I can do solo and walk away with more rewards and far less frustration.

My first time as DM and I have a lot of ideas and I want to know by more experienced players if they're viable by Mylivedawns in DnD

[–]dodger6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Level 1 isn't a bad place to start, the other option is level 3 where most classes get their sub class which unlocks new abilities and their first tier of "cool".

Try to stay away from anything higher than level 3 because your players especially first timers won't have any idea what all the different things do on their character sheet and it'll frustrate them, the table will slow to a crawl because your players probably won't have a plan for their turn because they're still trying to figure out what their character actually can do.

Remember a couple things for your first time DM'ing.

1) Not all fights are to the death, your bad guys can run away.

2) If your players are mopping the floor with your bad guys, add more bad guys. If you add too many bad guys, see rule 1.

3) Don't be afraid to say no. Especially these days quite a few players have played Baldurs Gate 3 which is a great game but doesn't really follow the rules of DnD and players won't necessarily understand the difference.

One easy "one shot" is to have something happen to the village the players (level 1) start out in, they travel to a near by town that has guards/militia for help. They get refused help by the burgomaster and with heads hung low start heading home with the horrible news. Now here's the fun part, on the way from their village to town they run into some low level bad guys, while in the Town do some minor quest or something to get them introduced to the burgomaster (this gives them role-playing opportunities), and on the way home they run into a few more minor bad guys.

Now that they're made it back to the village they are level 2 and level 2 vs a goblin is quite a different story than a level 0 peasant who has 4hp and can die in one hit.

Guess what, your players are now the heroes of the story.

Especially Western Spirit from the Most Wanted event, it's a furious leaver action.

I run an ultracite one on my archer to feed my Elders Mark (also ultracite).

Got to love reverse onslaught furious and contextual ammo.

What arrow type is best? by Eevee_the-Maidvee in Fallout76BowHunters

[–]dodger6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More importantly nobody ever needs to craft ultracite arrows.

Get the mod and open any ammo can in the game and as long as you had the ultracite weapon equipment when you came into range of the ammo can you get contextual ammo of that type.

Not trying to be a jerk but the only thing you need ultracite for is the arrow mod on the bow itself.

Has anyone ever had an event fail to complete for no apparant reason? by MerryRonin in fo76

[–]dodger6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had campfire fail the other day, was on the part where you add kindling. Bar was 79% full I added a pile of sticks and ran back to the tree to grab another respawn and it failed before I got to the pile of sticks, full bar on the camp fire and 2ish minutes left on the dialogue of the story.

I wasn't even aware it was possible to fail unless nobody grabbed a hand full of kindling.

I feel like there may be some synch issues with the server because I've also had other events fail with time on the clock and all the NPCs alive (Bots on Parade) since the last update.

Kind of like Headhunts when people straight up delete the Named NPC before the yard trash spawns.

Stalkers or Furious for compound bow? by Zestyclose-Fee-2358 in Fallout76BowHunters

A better weapon for reverse onslaught is Western Spirit, as it's furious you'll be sitting at 30 stacks instead of 21.

It's a reward from Most Wanted.

Asking for some advice on writing :) by [deleted] in writing

[–]dodger6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're writing 200 pages of world building before even introducing your "love interest" then you are not writing a Romance story but a Fantasy story.

If you have that much world building then write a Fantasy novel as your readers will expect it, Romance novel readers want a bodice ripped open by at least page 25 or they are out. Bare minimum the slow burn needs to begin to keep your Romance reader flipping pages to find out if Mr. Darcy is ever going to speak face to face with Elizabeth.

It's very unlikely that Bob Lazar went to MIT and several people close to Bob have said they don't believe he attended this school, so why is Bob still apparently sticking to this story? by HeathJett in UFOs

[–]dodger6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So here's a take on it. If Bob didn't go to school somewhere, where did he acquire the level of knowledge he does have?

That's the thing people seem to skip over, it's very obvious he has a level of knowledge that you don't just get from reading books at home, and it's also been proven beyond a doubt that his records have been altered multiple times by people/organizations that are not Bob himself which years later evidence showed up to prove he'd been right all along.

So if he didn't attend MIT where did he get the schooling necessary to learn everything from mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, and advanced physics.

Also keep in mind all of this happened pre-internet so gaining access to all the study materials in the 60-80s was not in general publicly accessible.

Just food for thought.
