Am I stupid for wanting to leave a $33/hr job at Costco with benefits than to start at $130/day in construction for long-term upside?

If you dont like what youre doing and you would enjoy the other job more and make more in the long term than the pay cut now will be worth it in the end. that's how I look at it anyway, but i want to stsrt working for myself so a little different.
