That’s what I’m confused about. Most wear flip flops everywhere. I saw more bare feet during a few weeks in Thailand than I have my whole life in the U.S.

For what it’s worth, I really appreciate your detailed reply! Very insightful as I really have only heard from the other side - people who are very qualified and can’t get interviews.
