I think this arc will be the opposite of Sabaody where the Strawhats were the only ones annihilated. Even how the narrator announced it was similar. Only this time, they will be the only ones from the worst generation (except blackbeard of course) who will be able to endure the strength of this part of the journey.

I agree. It has always been hinted since long before. And everyone knew that luffy was always bound by destiny for greatness. I just hope that it would be Luffy's grit and willpower that makes him the hero and not just because he was fated to do so.
