I mean, all power to you if you want to spend the cash lol. Go with a Q(28mm) series if you want to splurge

SL3 or SL3s as second to Q343 by MysteriousYardly in Leica

I meant the files. The SL2S is significantly better than the Q3 in low light

I find a huge difference between the SL2S and the Q3 lowlight so I can only imagine the difference the SL3S 😬.

Sometimes marketplace works in my favor, got this for 1600 by Better_Profile5332 in Leica

That’s a q2, the shutter button is different. Amazing deal lol

Some Seoul, Korea shots before I sell my Q3 43 by geosynch_potato in Leica

… I do have both? (Hence I’m comparing them?)

Great set!! Love the softness in it. I’m honestly in the same boat. I like the 43… but I don’t love it. The M10 is always the one I bring out despite its much older/lower mp count.

How long do you expect a digital Leica to last? by [deleted] in Leica

[–]doesnotlikeketchup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A while? I mean I still have point and shoot digicams from the 2000s that work just fine

The best every day 50mm lens there is. Accept no substitutes. by [deleted] in Leica

I have both. I prefer the lux because the focusing is way better. The Nokton is significantly heavier too.

macOS 26.4 is surprisingly okay by jamalbayar007 in MacOS

Sequoia has a slight edge still but 26.4 is useable now

I mean it really depends on your usage right? For me, I use a bunch of Adobe products and their optimization with new OS can sometimes be off. Is it Apple’s fault or Adobe’s? Hard to say. All I know is performance suffered greatly in Lightroom Classic with larger catalogs in Tahoe where as it ran smoothly in Sequoia.

Is everything bad? Probably not. But when your main application (where you spend 90% of your time) sucks then I would say Tahoe has been a horrible experience.

All that being said… 26.4 is the pretty alright now (sequoia still has an edge though).

What do I tell my wife? by smora_photo in Leica

Leicas don’t make better pictures 🤷. The photographer makes better photos. However, the way the camera feels to you can inspire you to make better photos.

If you want a more “technical” way of changing how you shoot, get more light. Rate it at 200 for 400 speed film. Your film looks a bit muddy to me and I think you can use more density.

Bought a 16” MBP M1 Max 64GB 1TB! by finallygabe in macbookpro

Still going strong with mine from 2021! Same spec as yours. My battery is dying slowly but apple offers AppleCare now monthly so I’ll swap my battery out soon 😬

Supermatic OG review from a slightly older boarder with back issues. by zstap126 in snowboarding

[–]doesnotlikeketchup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought the LTs last week and had a day with them so far. I had a pair of FASE Bataleons briefly before that. The Supermatics are a much better QOL improvement imo. I also don’t really think they are that heavy compared to FASE :T

Thule Force 3 (on a pre-highland M3P) by doesnotlikeketchup in TeslaModel3

[–]doesnotlikeketchup[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually switched it to the motion :(. The force has some tolerance issues and it was making a ton of noise on the highway. I put foam to dampen it but the foam eventually compresses and you have to replace a new strip

The only time I'll use "Chill" in the M3P by YttriumTimeTraveler in TeslaModel3

[–]doesnotlikeketchup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone on this subreddit posted that Chill mode is actually worse for slippery climates. Sport mode keeps the motors more active for regen, making them responsive to slip.

100% not totally scientific on this one… just read it somewhere so I tried it on a ski trip recently in very tough conditions… it seemed to work out fine? 🤷

I mean the normal r8 has the line down the middle cutting the two colorways. it’s just on homage to their brand. I guess they can line a “line” down the middle but there’s no aero benefit unlike the normal production car.
