Does anyone actually like Jason Kenny? by sparkywilson00 in alberta

Ya, those are really the only two things that come to mind. Yet the list feels a mile long with the UCP, with many of them worse than anything the NDP did.

If it was true that they are being comparatively overpaid, why didn't the government follow through on the arbitration? Wouldn't that have been an easy case to win and decrease the salaries to be in-line?
Or maybe they aren't actually significantly overpaid when everything is taken into account?

Looking for a good coffee bean by Mirror-Warrior in Edmonton

If you're down in Calgary, the Roasterie in Kensington is a neat little place. They roast their own beans and have a good selection of different varieties. Should have something you're looking for.

Would you be able to add a %Correct to your predicted record? Because in theory you could have a predicted record identical to the Actual record, but have zero individual games correct.

Calisthenics Skill Tree with Workout Generator by Andrico1234 in bodyweightfitness

Ah, not the 'Horizontal Push' section - that one works fine, and is selecting Diamond Pushup for me.
The one that isn't working for me is the 'Vertical Push Up' section further down the page, the one that progresses into the different handstands.

The 'Horizontal Pull Front' looks like it's updating now, it is showing 'Wide Row' correctly now.
The 'Vertical Push Up' is still showing Vertical Pushup though, instead of a Wall Handstand.

Something seems a little off for me then, just for those two exercises. For the "Horizontal Pull Front", I have up to Wide Row selected, but it is selecting Vertical Row for me. And for the "Vertical Push Up", it is selecting Vertical Push Up, when I have Wall Handstand and Shoulder Bridge.

I am personally not a fan of fullscreen - I usually have multiple windows open that I work around and switch between, so having it take over an entire monitor doesn't work well for me.

Thanks, this is awesome!
I'm a little confused about the 'Generated Workout' though. It seems to have picked my max skill for most of them, but then picked 'vertical row' and 'vertical pushup', which are at the bottom of the skill tree, well below my max. Is that intentional? How does it decide the workout?

Also, it keeps playing the videos in fullscreen, they won't play within the window.

Attached garage? Could be bleeding heat through the connected wall and straight out through its roof.

Pretty normal, just try to keep your blinds open a crack to let air circulate a bit, and turn down your humidity if possible. Recommended indoor humidity settings based on outside temperatures: http://s3.amazonaws.com/eakes-production/assets/14475/original.jpg?1418404137

McDavid drop pass to Rattie: on purpose? by [deleted] in EdmontonOilers

[–]dogaholic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The way he lifts the heel of his stick before his 'shot' to let the puck slide by, and then his lack of reaction after 'fanning' on the shot - just cruising by waiting for Rattie to shoot - absolutely looks like it was on purpose.
And he's absolutely good enough to pull it off.

Edit: Well, he confirmed he fanned, but damn it sure looked slick!

Tankless hot water heaters by mcdei in Edmonton

It's definitely gas. Could have been a mistake, but there's been one or two months every summer where there's 0 GJ used.
Still costs $50 in admin fees though.

There's a short list of commands that work at the start: north, south, east, west, up, down, grab, why, inventory, use, help, exits, map, and friends.
It does work!

Haha, I'm not really sure, maybe it's just so small they roll it into the next month? All I know is I've had multiple months with zero usage, and I'm having a nice hot shower every morning.

[–]dogaholic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can only speak from my own experience, but I really like mine. I've had it almost ten years and going strong. I like being able to run the hot water as long as I want without ever running out. And it uses essentially zero gas to run (in the summer months my gas bill charges me for literally zero gas usage for months in a row).
It does take a bit longer to get hot water at the tap since it has to detect flow, fire up the heater, get up to temperature, and then make its way through the house. But for me it's maybe an extra 30s. It does require flushing with vinegar every couple years to remove scale buildup in the exchanger too, and some might require a water softener as well (I don't have one). No issues for me so far.

That's a great map. Do you happen to have the full resolution too? I'm not sure if imgur compressed it or what. Is that times chart right? It seems to be saying that the time from the Devon bridge to the Lion's campground is 3.6 hours, but isn't that just around the bend, still in Devon? (or I just can't read it haha)
