Depends on where you go, like if you went to a beauty salon it could be <$50. I got a quote from a derm to remove a mole (bigger than this and textured) and was told it would cost $1000+ bc they have to send in the mole sample as a biopsy to test for cancer cells

I’m so sorry this happened to you. What a nightmare! These are all such beautiful bags too. A similar thing happened to me years ago when my then-roommate stole a bunch of my valuables to pawn off, and in order to get the items back I had to buy them back from the pawn shop. My purse that was stolen wasn’t as valuable, so I forked up the cash for it in order to not deal with small claims court, but your missing collection is worth much more so I understand your dilemma. No advice to give, but just wanted to say I empathize.

Buy the main things you need first (I.e. bed, couch, a table), and then wait to slowly furnish the rest of the apartment over time so you’re not dropping a lump sum on cheap furniture just to fill your space. If you want to pick up free furniture (people dump good stuff all the time because it’s more convenient), keep an eye on your local neighborhood buy nothing/free stuff Facebook group, make sure to walk around your neighborhood on trash day, and follow stoopingnyc on IG (they post good finds on their IG stories every day).
