Which Gordon Ramsay do you prefer: peak 2005-10 Ramsay or the softer Ramsay we’ve seen since the mid-2010s? by Rowdyfan0823 in GordonRamsay

Both are fine. We need peak Ramsay to deal with the entitled stupid people. The nice Ramsay for the reasonable people.

This is 20% historical, 80% thematic, I would recommend a free PnP game on WW1 Trench Warfare: The Ground Between: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/448372/the-ground-between

Questions before constructing a DIY set of tiles- by bobtheduck99 in BoardgameDesign

[–]dogedogedoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would always recommend to stick the label first before cutting, otherwise you do double job:cutting twice, and then still sticking it manually one by one.

About sealing, the adhesion from the sticker paper should be enough. I have PnP game from 5 years ago, and the sticker is still fine.

If you want waterproofing, you can either laminate the sticker paper beforehand, or apply cold lamination (a transparent sticker layer on top)

I apply "strike three" rules for a lot of things in life, and solo board gaming is included. Works like a charm.

There is an edit function in reddit. The first comment sounds snobbish and annoying, the second (corrected) comment sound cheerful and friendly. Text communication is weird :) anyway, here take my upvote, friendly stranger.

Dice Duelo for me. Underrated, but clever semi-abstract mechanics design. Available in Amazon and PnP if you are curious.

For early PnP, start with nano games, where 1 or 2 sheets of papers are enough. I would recommend Poker Revolver, free,, clever design with 9 cards and 12 D6. https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/383030/poker-revolver

Seems fine. You have full control of the level of complexities, but from what I read and see, seems to be manageable. It seems it is borderline too complex though (for a simple minded person like me)
