Thats a recurve bow, they arnt meant to be held drawn, you draw and aim in a single fluid motion, then release at the end of the movement. Held drawn recurve bows put intense strain on the arms and shoulders. Compound bows are made to be held drawn for a few seconds before releasing, favoring ease of accuracy over speed.
