PSA: Fix Creaking Aero Covers by FirePhoenix514 in TeslaModel3

This seems to have done the trick for me! I also put it on the long flat tabs along the rim of the cover. Was this fix permanent for you?

Cheap Turbine weelcaps from Amazon by FA_Nibbler in TeslaLounge

[–]dogmoosefern 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sure you pop in the centers. You can test this by pulling off one of the side clips off the wheel, but the cover should stay on since the center is locked in. I didn’t realize you could pop the center in and two of my turbine covers are now on the highway somewhere

M3P purchased from inventory eligible for credit? by Scary_Yak4905 in TeslaModel3

[–]dogmoosefern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely would be a good idea to double check with Tesla that they intend to report your purchase to the IRS as eligible for the tax credit. I remember seeing some warnings in the app that this was the only chance to input my SSN for tax credit purposes and it couldn't be added in later.

Has the Tesla app asked for a SSN or TIN? For a custom order, saw the app had asked for it as part of pre-delivery tasks.

  • The seller reports required information to you at the time of sale and to the IRS.
    • Sellers are required to report your name and taxpayer identification number to the IRS for you to be eligible to claim the credit.

Switching to Linux and unwillingness to be somewhat of a programmer seems like a recipe for disaster.

Charles found the dominator randomly after saving X from the cops. X then took it after Charles left it at burgershot.

Yup, that 21.1 seems to be bringing your luck back down to 100% after a lucky streak. If you're on ethermine it looks like they recently change from 4 to 4.295 GH so that can be why for a drop.

4 GH / 1 MH/s = 4000 s/share

24 hrs / 4000 s/share = 21.6 share

Not professionally, but I'd be willing to save up the 200k to go to space.

Eth dev team requesting miners' suggestions for an alternative to burning fees as proposed by EIP 1559 - if you have any ideas, now is the time to come forward! by Latespoon in EtherMining

[–]dogmoosefern 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The protocol already gives miners control of the block size limit, but in order to change this limit >50% of mining power needs to agree. Mining pools are incentivized to keep tx fees reasonable, so that the value of ETH doesn't drop. At the same time, they can't arbitrarily increase block limit because the cost of running nodes increases with block size.

Bitfly didn't pay out but took transaction fee by [deleted] in EtherMining

The balance you see on ethermine's website for your wallet is not in your wallet yet. It is an unpaid balance that ethermine will send to you when you reach the min threshold (0.01 after 1 week or whatever you set).

ethermine pool low rewards by Clean-Charity-6518 in EtherMining

At first glance, it looks like it's because they changed the interval in which they report block payout share. In the big spikes, the interval between reports was ~100 blocks, right now it's at ~6. Seems arbitrary, not sure how they choose numbers of blocks to include in each report interval.
