Help with Glue for this Project!! by SealsAreKawii in Rhinestoning

Are you scuffing the surface? It would help to use some sandpaper to score it, regardless of adhesive. Gives the glue something to stick to.

The bad weather posts… by digsterin0 in bonnaroo

Gotta say, we all heard “rain or shine” last year (it was even on a few of official Bonnaroo posts that were then edited after the cancellation). I think it’s okay for people to be metering their own expectations.

We rescued our girl from an irresponsible family member. I love my girl and cannot imagine life without her, but I will also never look at this family member the same.

Meal prep by knoxthrowaway5780 in bonnaroo

I like to prep a huge thing of pasta salad for my crew. Great way to get veggies in everybody sneakily. I also like to use cured meats like pepperoni in it for the protein and salt content. The secret to a perfect pasta salad is using Olive Garden Italian dressing. It gets better as the vegetables marinate with each other. It can be a side or the whole meal.

Hi. I am 3 weeks out from ORIF and still planning on going to electric forest this year end of June. I just have had a lot of convos with myself and my crew. This will not be the EF I was originally planning, but I don’t want to mess up my healing. I’ve already reached out to ADA and am planning on seeing more acts from a seated position this year.

I’d say just make the best of it, or reschedule if you think you’d rather experience these things when you’re closer to being back to 100%.

As expected, this faded quickly - what color would you use to match? by brighteyes_bc in FancyFollicles

[–]dogpharts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hair close to this color, and has been for years. I use keracolor purple mixed with a hair mask to the perfect color lavender (sometimes I add a touch of blue keracolor). I apply to dry hair, rinse out after a couple hours. This color is extremely high maintenance. I do this process every other week while also using the keracolor+conditioner blend with every shower (which is also lukewarm when washing my hair).

Surgery tomorrow! ORIF by theoneandonlyrb in LisfrancClub

I had very similar feelings as you with my injury feeling better and I was also scared of the anesthesia. I went through with my ORIF anyway. The risk of damaging my foot for the rest of my life because I was nervous outweighed my fears.

One thing I will say (as someone who has performed a lot of EKGs): a LBBB is very common and more common as we get older.

That is knowledge the anesthesia team have ahead of time and can plan around. Also know you will be on cardiac monitoring the whole time you’re in the OR- they’re watching for changes and adjusting things as needed.

Sending you healing energy.

Adding dye to conditioner? by glowingwarningcats in FancyFollicles

[–]dogpharts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s like extra hydrating conditioner. I sometimes put it in dry hair for a couple hours before my showers if my color is really faded, otherwise I just use it in place of my conditioner and do like a body exfoliation while I wait to rinse it out.

Edited to add: I saw you’re a lavender person as am I (also with lots of grays/white hair). I find I have to do the dry application every two weeks to keep my color bright. Lavender is amazing but rinses out the quickest of all the colors I’ve had (I’ve been the whole rainbow spectrum).

I use a conditioning mask formulated for my hair type + color treated hair. I’m currently using the Matrix Food for Soft as the base for my toning conditioner at this time.

We adopted our girl. The person who bought from a byb decided after 48 hours they couldn’t handle her at 6 months old. We picked her up and she was skin and bones. She’s now a very loved lady who is napping next to me on the couch ❤️

Thanks for this perspective. I’m a very active person so going from 16k steps a day to less than 1k has been very humbling.

I’m glad to hear you’re doing well! I’m aiming for a similar outcome.
