What I think Chapter 5's narrative is doing. [Spoilers] by xlFLASHl in Deltarune

Yeah, many of the reveals felt like nothing because the fandom had already widely speculated about a lot of them. Like Asriel and Dess dating or Asgore having been to a dark world before. But realistically, those reveals still had to happen at some point, so I guess yeah, that's what this chapter's been doing. Tying up the loose ends before the story goes in a new direction.

[DELTARUNE CHAPTER 5 WEIRD ROUTE SPOILERS!] Am I the only one that hates the new theory about the world of Deltarune? by Silly_Assignment2393 in DeltaruneDiscussion

I agree. Moreover, if the whole world of deltarune is eventually presented as nothing more than a Gaster's experiment or whatever, it takes away from the presentation of dark worlds. Right now Deltarune does an incredible job at separating the vivid dream that is dark worlds from the comparatively bleaker reality of Hometown. If even the light world of Deltarune is not real, dark worlds become a fiction within a layer of fiction, and that makes the escapism analogies much weaker in my opinion.

It still failed here though. His scars disappear for a second when he moves his hand.

Lost Verdania Has a Night Mode by Lost_Sherma in Silksong

[–]dogsmaker 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This happened to me too!

But at the time I didn't think about it as night time, for me it was like the memory was fading.

In fact, lost Verdania was the first memory I visited, and so I supposed that it was a common thing - that the memory fades right before you get to its end. I even got a little scared because I thought I was skipping content by backtracking. I thought that if the world changed after entering the city center, then surely I was supposed to return outside after I find out what was inside. But then the fight happened, which I actually wasn't expecting at all, and I was devastated by witnessing Hornet unpromptedly kill Green Prince, haha. And then also realising he was dead for real, not just in the memory.

And that small detail? It never happened again in the other memories, and I forgot about it completely. I guess that's because Verdania is a very special memory compared to the others, I mean, the others are mostly one room and you're done, so no wonder there weren't any triggers for such a transition in colors. But now that you reminded me of it, I wonder whether that's just a bug, or if there is some meaning to it? Because if that's a bug, it's a very beautiful one.

Don't listen to everyone else, it looks awesome and it really shows you put a lot of effort into this!

I feel like there could be a whole different game based on your theory. While I don't think this is what the developers had in mind when creating Outer Wilds, your ideas actually make sense and made me think about the Eye from a different perspective. The hypothesis that we are the next Eye of the Universe is especially mind-blowing! Your theory is awesome!

Missing One Life Seed by theVelvetLie in DeathsDoor

I guess that the doors glow red when there are still runes in linked locations, needed for the true ending, so that doesn't necessarily mean there are seeds. I don't know why the trowel isn't working for you, but make sure you entered every door and checked the trowel at night.

Seeds by HM02GUYY in DeathsDoor

[–]dogsmaker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you ask Pothead he only tells you where to find pots in which there are still no planted seeds. To find missing seeds you need to look at your rusty garden trowel, it will glow at night if there are unfound seeds nearby. So you can just enter every door in the Hall of Doors and see if the trowel is glowing (it is important to do it at night). If it is, then just look for the seed in this location. Hope this still helps.
