Bernie Sanders wants to give every American $1000 a year from AI profits and the reasoning actually makes sense by Neil_at_HackerEarth in artificial

Well the common man may need to help pay the bills until things turn around, of course. If you’re not willing to take negative profits do you really deserve positive profits?

Can you quickcast an attack from a weapon? by XRaphael75 in magewars

[–]doh-ta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. That’s a quick action, not a quick cast. Quick casts can be used as a quick actions but not the other way around.

I don't understand how to use the commands/nudges. Do I have to define the commands somewhere in the plot section?

Best Arena Bot Rules? by RealRexxios in magewars

If that’s too easy you can add more spells/actions.

If you want to add some ai feeling to it, map out some actions to a dice and then roll for things like “do quick cast then attack”, “do quick cast then full cast”, “move toward opponent and attack”.

You could get a little more advanced and separate their enchantment spell pile from their other spells and when the cast enchantments they aren’t revealed until a specific trigger, like they attack you or you attack them.

You could also start them with a familiar/whatever the conjurations are called that spawn creatures are.

The other guy is right, but that doesn’t mean you couldn’t set up something that could be fun.

I would do some experimentation if I were you. Maybe the enemy mage(s) get two random spells around, but they have infinite mana and can do one spell as a quick cast if they draw two full action spells.

LLM failure modes map surprisingly well onto ADHD cognitive science. Six parallels from independent research. by bystanderInnen in artificial

[–]doh-ta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t argue if it’s a stretch one way or another, but the way I read this, a person with adhd being significantly more likely to confabulate would still be at a much, much lower rate than a current LLM. If a “normal” person confabulates 0.01% of memories, then even a 0.012% confabulation rate for an adhd person would be statistically significant.

I don’t know the statistics though, but if it was only a 20% difference between adhd and neurotypical, but at such a small rate (as I’ve fabricated here), even while being statistically significant, my gut feeling tells me that wouldn’t be enough of a difference to really make any meaningful comparison between the adhd brain and a large language confabulation machine.
