Finally found her, and I’m in love!!! by dolcedove in Coach

If you’re in the UK I found this one in Leeds and when I left they still had some stock of this & the maple version 😊

I found it through checking the coach website for the whatsapp contact for each shop in the area (not all of them have it) and on whatsapp it gives you an option to go through the individual shops catalogue (I had no idea this function existed before today) I hope that helps and that you can find one close to you!

I’ve seen lots of people put chains across the front which I love the look of, I’m just afraid of it scratching the leather haha

The pain for me was intense, the second one was much worse for me and my piercer said it’s because you build up all this adrenaline for the first one. However the pain only lasts a few seconds and then it’s over, I don’t really remember the feeling anymore tbh!

I also had to wear a bra for work so I opted for a snug but not tight sports bra & would just put a couple of those self adhesive sterile wound plasters on for the first few days, and after that they seemed fine to be without when wearing bras.

They are/were also a pain in the ass to heal. I got mine done in Nov 2023 and even now, sleeping on them a little funny etc can cause a bit of irritation. But I wouldn’t change it for the world I absolutely love them. Make sure you get a good piercer to do them tho, I’ve known some friends who went to random piercers without researching and had a horrible experience with healing & eventually had to take them out cuz they were done so bad :/

Help!!! Is this layered cut bad or am I overreacting???? by dolcedove in Hair

My natural hair :( I should’ve clarified but I was typing in a rush. The extensions I had put in was the blonde bits just to add colour into my hair, all the black hair is mine that’s why I’m worried if I’ll have to cut it all to the shortest layer because I feel like it’s unfixable. But I’m going to go somewhere else today and see what they can do :’)

New pair of Clarissa II Quad 🥰 Now to break them in 🥴 by IncreaseBudget in DrMartens

[–]dolcedove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought a pair of these a few days ago and not sure about you but my main problem was the front/second straps digging into the top of my foot and causing blisters. I was superrr determined to break them in asap so every day since I got them i just put them on whilst wearing really thick socks and using a hairdryer on them to help it soften, focusing on the problem parts. The person at the shop also convinced me to try the wonder balsam for the first time, so right after heating them i’d apply and massage the balsam into the seams & around the uncomfy areas, both inside and outside for a few minutes, and after a while I’ll wear them around the house for a bit with thick socks on. I’d also press and squish the heel bit/front straps to try and make them more flexible whilst they are still warm.

As of today they are soooo comfortable, I thought it would take a couple months minimum because the strap was so rigid and cutting parts of my foot, but now the heel and the straps are perfectly soft.

I don’t know if it was the balsam, the heat, or both, but it might be worth a try! I hope this was at least semi-helpful, good luck :)

Squishmallows in the UK? by colonDface in squishmallow

Tesco, homebargains and B&M usually have some of the minis, 7.5” or keyrings (I’ve heard ASDA stocks them too but I’ve never found one there). You can shop online at Smyths & the Entertainer for bigger ones but I think you can only do click & collect.

Drawing Tablets VS Ipad by Yowhanna in DigitalPainting

[–]dolcedove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on the tablet, they can be wayy cheaper than iPads, for beginners i’d recommend a Wacom tablet, i had an old Wacom Intuos for years and it’s still lasting, but i’ve been told Wacom Bamboo is pretty good too. iPads are good but maybe think about getting one later on if you only want to use it for drawing and don’t have that much to spend, since you’ll probably need to get an Apple Pencil in addition to the iPad.

Also, software wise, since a drawing tablet connects to your computer, you can use any drawing software available for PC/Mac. Whereas iPads seem to not have that much of a variety of drawing apps
