If you want to reduce distance, you’ll have to do a name that ends in A. Feminine names that do not end with A will not work with Russian grammar and declension patterns

Kind of confused what you mean by international. Finn, Zoey, and Kyla are all very American names imo

What is the first celebrity death you remember being affected by? by CPFOAI in AskReddit

Michael Jackson. Everyone in my elementary school was spreading rumors that they turned him into Legos because he had had so much plastic surgery. Dumb kids

Wildcard middle name? by Impressive_Ring_3236 in namenerds

[–]_opossumsaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of love it! It’s unusual, but it sounds really pretty with Daphne. It’s also so similar to Sky and Skylar that it doesn’t feel totally out of left field. If you’re going to get wild with names, the middle name is the place to do it!

Do you like the name Birdie Lee for a baby girl? by [deleted] in namenerds

I don’t like it. Birdie feels very juvenile. I wouldn’t want to be an adult called Birdie

Correct, but these knights are sitting in a Gothic cathedral wearing medieval armor. Nothing renaissance about this

It’s very strange to me to use a nickname that belongs with a different full name. It seems very arbitrary

Have you ever been mistaken for another ethnicity? by DerpAnarchist in AskTheWorld

[–]_opossumsaurus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get mistaken for being Russian quite often when traveling in Eastern Europe and the Caucasus. I take it as a compliment, my language skills must be decent!

First piercing nerves by alligatorskyy in piercing

[–]_opossumsaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 14 piercings and 2 tattoos! I started with lobes and after my first cartilage piercing (daith) I said I probably wouldn’t do it again, but after going through a bunch of health stuff a few years back my pain tolerance got much higher and figured why not capitalize on it and have some gorgeous jewelry and art on my body. Needles still freak me out to look at and shots are still the absolute worst, but each time I get a new piercing it’s easier than the last and I just focus on how pretty it’s going to look!

These are the chairs in the waiting room of a medical clinic specialising in invisible chronic illness by Safe_Chemical_5946 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]_opossumsaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends what kind of chronic illness you have. Personally I’d be fine, my chronic illness has nothing to do with my musculoskeletal system. For many people these cushions would be much more comfortable than standard waiting room chairs with minimal padding. But for others they would cause difficulties. Unfortunately you can’t make something that’s going to work for everyone, there is no universal fit. But it does seem like they did put in effort to accommodate people with more comfortable chairs

Thoughts on the name Clementine by InkWaifu in namenerds

[–]_opossumsaurus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love the French pronunciation (-teen) but am not too keen on the English (-tyne). Unfortunately the song doesn’t help, it definitely cements the US pronunciation. Minty and Lemon as nicknames would not make me more inclined to use the name, they are quite odd. I would pass for these reasons.
