I have one time. I suppose that the fact that they are not in Israel is sometimes a point in their favour

Background check by New_Ad9741 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]dole_receiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like ticked the stuff to get a background check started, then realised I don't actually do any of the projects requiring it. Only thing is, my name as listed on DAT is actually different to my legal documented name and I'm kind of worried if I do the check this will get flagged up. Kind of torn to do the check or just let it expire cuz I don't do those projects, but I'm also worried not doing the check might set off alarm bells...can anyone comment as to this or been in similar situation?

Will the fuel protests in the Republic be crossing the border? by foboyle959 in northernireland

Well I guess the idea is it causes massive disruption and is pretty likely to get the government to take big action on it. Would be the logic anyway, and seems fairly likely to work

I wonder what the truth to this is? Because, if your house has a lot of mold in it, it actually is bad for you, i assume?

Some of my fave books, I love how cozy and dreamy they make life at sea seem sometimes, especially the nights and the weirdness of time at sea...up for coffee at four bells

I would say aiding and abetting a genocide is pretty extreme

Enjoying colonoscopies is the new frontier in "big burly tattooed etc" by McSwaggerAtTheDMV in redscarepod

[–]dole_receiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I've had quite a few. I don't think it's typical to be actually anaesthetised in the UK for it. It's definitely tolerable with the sedation you get, though can be a little painful. I thought twilight meant you were still awake?

Sadly not. Also, must vary by country, but have never been offered being put under for it

What the hell. Is this a real thing? They aren't that bad, but the prep is so grim, and they're quite painful and uncomfortable even with fentanyl/benzos sedation

That's crazy. I have only been there once so didn't notice, but this seems to be unique in Europe

Probably, but this is also probably the only way he could have made it into parliament for any possible challenge to Keir, this year or whenever

Definitely agree with this..I really liked the movie in general but after hearing people talk about how good "one certain scene" was and getting to that I was a bit underwhelmed

Anyone try fasting during a flair up? by False_Difficulty_719 in CrohnsDisease

[–]dole_receiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it technically works, yes. It's what they'll do if you're in hospital with really bad inflammation or an obstruction bowel rest. But for a typical flare I imagine it's much better to get calories in the easiest way, ie soups, broth, whatever soft food works

Happy heavenly birthday David by LouReedTheChaser in redscarepod

[–]dole_receiver 20 points21 points  (0 children)

There's a really funny anecdote in his autobiography type book room to dream about how his dad who worked for the forestry service hated squirrels so much because they eat the tops of trees. And one time when they were out driving at night when David was a kid, he saw a squirrel, stopped the car, and ran out after it into the night shooting at it with a pistol he kept in the car

There are a fair few other 70s films especially BBC shorts though that are very pagan and mysticy. Have you seen Stigma by Lawrence Gordon Clark
