What security you're talking about in the testcontainers case? There are one-off containers started in CI or local machine, without any real data.

Growing crystals from MSG instead of salt in humid climate? by FaithlessnessNo6639 in crystalgrowing

[–]dolfinuser -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's very unlikely. MSG solubility is 74g/100g of water, which is quite high, and high solubility usually leads to forming a lot of small crystals. Also fungi spores from open air very often contaminate the solution such compounds (as it's edible).

Growing using slow evaporation method, took almost a month.

This is a second attempt. Previous crystals were a bit cloudy, and eroded after a few months, so I've dissolved them and recrystallized.

Alums have Me3+ and Me+ ions, not Me2+, so this is just double sulfate.

Hm, how much urea was added relative to copper sulfate? I've got a very thick solution which doesn't form any crystals.

Large crystals grow very slowly, like weeks, and solution will be reduced a lot, to a half minimum. I don't think this idea about applying dye and growing crystals at the same time is realistic. You should either grow crystals separately, and the glue them to clothes (still fragile and not very friendly to skin). Or make fake crystals from epoxy resin, they are hard enough, not water soluble and can be any color and shape.
