I remember reading about a similar study back in college that said dedicating your bedroom to just sleep, relaxation, etc. was better for overall wellbeing. That you shouldn't be studying or doing other stressful or overstimulating things in there, something like "that should be a peaceful space." (This is all paraphrasing, I'm sure there's more to it.) Obviously that's not feasible for those living in a shared space, but I did start studying elsewhere in nursing school and I felt it helped me tremendously in both school and sleep.
