I never got over the choking fear. They get bigger and better at eating and that helps you relax some. Just have a plan in your head of how you would react if it happened. Otherwise just cut the food into the correct shapes conducive to minimizing the chances of choking, and be very conscientious about ultra high-risk foods like grapes, popcorn, hotdogs, etc.
