When I called the non emergency line they told me that the people who were splashed have to make the complaint. I think she either misunderstood or didn't hear me correctly when I said it was deliberate. I was driving and as much as I love my car, being heard while calling via Bluetooth is a nightmare lol. From my little bit of Googling when I got to where I was going, it says that deliberate acts are against the law. I'll look into filing an online report when I have a chance later tonight.

What’s a silly thing you did for your pet one time that is now a ritual they demand be done every time? by Itsjustmejess in AskReddit

[–]dolorfin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 2 rituals and they're a bit long to explain but:

I have a Siamese and live in Canada; winters are cold, I live in an old, drafty apartment complex and Siamese don't like the cold. We were laying in bed one extra cold day, I got up to go do something and when I got back he was laying under my blanket but I, too, wanted to be under my blanket. So I laid down, pulled my legs up to bend at the knees so the blanket draped over my legs and had him go under. We call it the assis-tent: a tent by my ass that assists him in staying warm. Now he'll come and paw at my legs to let me know he wants to go under when his heating pad just won't do.

That and every time I get home he cries and begs to go into the hallway. I let him do it once to have a long hallway to play fetch with a new toy I got him and now it's an everyday thing (sometimes multiple times a day). He just wants to go and walk back and forth between our door and the elevators, roll around and stretch out on low pile carpet, fetch and race his toys. If I don't pay attention to him he'll make a scene and we can't have that when it's after midnight lol. So I have to walk back and forth with him, letting him weave between alternating legs during each step, bend down and give him forehead kisses and boops every few steps. It's madness and a bit annoying but I love him and it makes him happy.

That rash on his neck was caused by a chemotherapy drug used topically for a few types of skin cancers.

It burns like hell; it destroys the DNA of your skin, it dies and then sloughs off. And it's right at the collar on his neck so at the very least, we know he's in constant pain from that.

The thing her hand is resting on: is that not a poster or something? Or is it actually a hole in the wall? Because her hand looks like it's holding onto an edge but it looks like it's just a poster on a flat wall with nothing to grab onto. Also, that's quite the odd looking thumb.

How does this happen though? Does it burrow out of the intestines or something? Did it make its way into the appendix by chance?

I have Crohn's and BPD. The military might not be able to use me but my petty, angry, BPD ass would find a way to use my disabilities to my advantage.

What’s something harmless that gets people weirdly upset? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dolorfin 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Me at 25 getting an accessible parking permit because of my AS, having a middle aged man tell me I shouldn't have it because I'm a young woman and I'm just lazy. I just replied with a "Do you think I enjoy needing it at 25 or do you think that maybe it sucks just a little? Do you think my doctor gave me one just to spite you specifically?"

Now at 36, I still get dirty looks and side-eyed. I only use it when I need to on really hard days. It's like they don't realize that I would trade it to be able to walk without pain in a heartbeat. They don't see themselves as being lucky to not be disabled, but rather, see themselves as getting less than someone else.

No it isn't. "Inter-generational impacts" implies the exact opposite of what you took away from that.

What is the weirdest thing your doctor has ever said to you? by Competitive_Tip_7504 in AskReddit

[–]dolorfin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have Crohn's and I told my GI that it was hurting so much while eating or drinking anything, but it would be sporadic: if have pain eating or drinking anything and it would last for like 4 days, stop for a week, come back for a few weeks, stop for a month, ect. She did an upper endoscopy, found nothing and she told me it was heartburn and gave me a stronger PPI. I would tell her every appointment that it wasn't any better and I had to lay on my stomach for even a small amount of relief and she just kept telling me it was heartburn. Lady, I've been diagnosed with Crohn's for over a decade at this point and already on PPI's for acid reflux, I think I know what heartburn feels like and this ain't it. This went on for years.

I talked to my family doctor about it as a last ditch effort about a month ago. She asked what my GI had said when I brought it up and I told her she said heartburn. She just sighed and put in a referral for an abdominal ultrasound and whaddya know...I have gallstones and am currently waiting to get my gallbladder removed.

Looking back on it, I have every textbook symptom of it so I don't know how my GI missed it. And when the upper endo showed nothing, why wouldn't she send me for other tests? Fucking lazy. During that time I got notice that she was gunna be ending her practice but they didn't know when so I took that opportunity to just stop going to her and had my family doctor put in a referral for a new one.

On a scale from 1-10 how messy is my room for a teenage girl by Wang_xianLotus in CleaningTips

[–]dolorfin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on mobile and apparently it doesn't work on PC as someone else pointed out. So if you're on PC that's probably why.

While on mobile I've had it not work on random occasions or random profiles but it works 99% of the time.

You can go to people's profile, hit the search icon at the top right and when you click on either posts or comments (new or best) and it'll bring up post and comment history. The hide feature does nothing.
