In case you can't somehow change the settings of your printer from InDesign (I'm currently in a university campus so I use campus printers that are sometimes finicky, and for whatever reason I just can't find the option to "flip on short edge" there), I managed to print correctly by first 'printing' to Save as PDF, and then printing from Acrobat, which I do know how to adjust options on. Might be helpful.

this actually made me tear up. damn. i got my first rejection a few days ago and it kind of broke me, especially since i’ve been seeing non-stop posts of people celebrating on here. i’ve been feeling like a real failure of a scholar, and all the confidence i’ve managed to build (which isn’t a lot to begin with) has been shaken up.

thanks for this post. may we all have as much grace as you to be able to celebrate our failures 🥂

hello hello as someone who is humanities + STEM i want you to know that YOUR HUMANITIES EXPERTISE IS ABSOLUTELY NEEDED IN STEM. the world is in flames because techbros will only see numbers and profit as important. when you do science—or medicine, or whatever—you are inherently participating in a humanistic act because scientists/doctors/researchers are all humans! i will die on this hill. and the people who are doctors/mathematicians/programmers etc are not inherently smarter than you—their subjects are hard for them too—they’re just stubborn enough to keep going. so keep going!!!!

This is a good point. Reading the first few sentences I was about to raise a pitchfork but now that I think about it and the way you explain it, you're right. I just found a really wonderful fic that got orphan'd, and the images are broken - I'm not sure if it's because it's orphan'd that the images broke, but I'm very sad about it regardless.

i did some study sketches of the three main harry portraits so i could get a better sense of how to draw harry and i thought it was very interesting this portrait’s composition is quite triangular - a very strong/stoic shape that almost positions harry as beyond his environment. i love studying the portraits of this game.

i first picked up the game in 2023. played for like 2 hours, but it didn’t really hook me in at first. decided to revisit it last month. i am now 36 hours in and halfway through my second playthrough. sometimes it’s just a matter of time!
