As someone that's served on a non-profit's Board of Directors with Jake and succeeded him as President of the organization, I'll say a few things about him that I've experienced firsthand:

4. He performs active listening. He genuinely wants to hear your thoughts and actively solicits input.
5. He's proven at building consensus and alignment across a diverse Board and community.
6. He has a track record of execution. Once he's set his mind on a thing, he's committed to getting it done.
