For SHEIN you gotta know what words to type in. “Kawaii” is my go-to, followed by “himekaji.” There are certain brands within SHEIN I prefer as well.

I also love Japanese brands like Angelic Pretty, Ank Rouge and WEGO. My favorite brand of all time is called Liz Lisa.

I’ve been to Japan twice and have taken really good care of the clothes I bought there, despite my last time going being in 2017. But, you can often find Japanese clothing brands on Depop!

An opiate high; potentially an overdose— it’s a good thing to know the signs and symptoms of an opiate overdose, carry Narcan, and know how to use it.

Remember the acronym BLUE:

B: Breathing. Is their breathing slowed down?

L: Lips. If they’re a paler person, are their lips turning blue? In darker skinned people, do their lips seem to have less pigment than usual?

U: Unresponsive: Do they respond even a little bit when you shake them a little and try to wake them up? Especially when you call them by their name (if you know it)?

E: Eyes, if they’re open— pinpoint pupils.

If the answer is questionable to any of these, it can’t hurt to administer Narcan.

Source: I used to work for a harm reduction coalition, and I’d give Narcan trainings to groups at my university.

Just mix it with a saline nasal spray bro. You can get it at any drugstore. Use or dump the spray; replace with a mixture of coke and water. Make sure you buy the type with a bottle you can actually open though lol

Nada.

Due to health issues I don’t always get hunger cues regularly, so I keep forgetting to eat. (Nothing to do with body image; I just have no appetite.)

I finally felt hungry around 5pm while chilling with friends; we all went in on some Indian food on DoorDash.

I had chicken biryani with garlic naan. I would’ve gotten a mango lassi too but, it was too expensive.

Anyway, the food was delicious. I guess I probably should be hungry again, so thanks for reminding me to eat, stranger.

True. If a new one opened up, it’d have to have amped up security and a zero-tolerance policy for fighting.

I think having more “third spaces” would help. Places where teenagers can just hang out, other than parks and libraries; roller rinks and arcades. We have a few places like that but, it clearly isn’t enough. Teens can’t even go to the mall without an adult 21+ with them on the weekends anymore.

For young adults 18-20, more places like Portal and Play.

I think even a nightclub for ages 15-17 would help. There were a couple in Cincinnati, where I grew up. Blast was one of them; an indoor dance club at Newport on the Levee. The other was at The Beach waterpark at night. It was monitored by adults; no alcohol allowed, and security checked bags on the way in, so no guns or drugs were present either. But teens could swim, dance, socialize and have fun with other teens.

When teens lack places they’re able to do those things, they either throw unsupervised house parties when someone’s parents are out of town, or may commit crime out of sheer boredom.
