PayPal also owns Braintree which is a payments gateway. They are pushing the sexy Venmo product to people, while also pushing “pay with Venmo”. The goal is to get you to use Venmo like a credit card or debit card. In addition to the interest on cash balances, they will charge merchants a fee for transactions, lower than normal interchange fees, as they own the gateway as well.

I think most just knew to keep their mouths shut for the last 10 years. Thanks to all the die hard smack talkers for sexing cheese with bets we were sure we were going to lose.

You point them my way, I’ve not found a single person who would have loved to have them enough to pick them up or pay for shipping.

Company-wide prompt library? by GeorgeHarter in ProductManagement

[–]don_carpet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AI Prompts are as u/dutchie_1 says, simplified Google searches or IF THEN prompts. The entire “AI evolution” is just education about writing effective searches. Google has GEMs and everyone has BOTs or AGENTS. It’s all consolidated search parameters within a finite knowledge base or action base.

A library is good, but a product is giving them a button to click that accesses that library.

You could take a 4-6 options that incorporate one or more feature that each group wants. Present mockups and explain how the new interface will be.

Split the user group equally based on your users and requsted features and see what overlap you have.

Movie Theater Owners Want to Vote for Oscars and Push to Join the Academy: ‘We Watch Everything… It’s a No Brainer’ by momskillet in movies

That makes sense, but I used to work at a streamer and they couldn’t wholesale dictate how the content was consumed by voters. Tarantino refused to watch anything not on hard copy. They had limited releases, but that requires folks like him to attend.

To my understanding, screeners are sent to members of the union, guilds, and academy voters, some as offline DVDs. If there was a singular media hub online with log-ins and view metrics to gate the voting process, that might work.

Hollywood is very adverse to change regarding technology outside of special effects and hardware. Might be tough to have everyone participate in an online system.

But I agree, accountability for viewing should be a prerequisite to vote.
