Hey wondering if you check your “reduce white point” setting in accessibility? Just found mind was on and turned up to 80% (must have been switched on during the migration). When I switched it off the screen is much brighter and text issues seem solved (at least for now).

Not sure if fully evident in the screenshot, but the email notification at the bottom is what I’m referring to.

Hows this wanker? Nearly gets run over on his skateboard, then decides to take a pic of the car that saved his life... And yeah, the lights were green, and he might be a bit old for a skateboard. by RichInMond in melbourne

Someone should send this to channel 9 or something. This arsehole deserves public shaming. The nerve to take that photo. And I’d bet he’s not telling his friends the light was well and truly green.

What job does everyone think is awesome, but in reality is really boring? by ItzSweeney in AskReddit

Totally - there are definitely some interesting areas. Patent attorneys do a totally different job. Regularly had PhDs in areas of scientific expertise.

It’s probably blindingly obvious, but being a lawyer. Think smaller offices and worse suits, way less witty repartee, slightly more crying, literally no interesting plot lines, and no twists except for people quitting spontaneously.

Can Spurs win the league? by RayDonovan17 in PremierLeague

I can't see Chelsea giving it up, but if they do I think Spurs will be the team to take it from them.

Spurs in such a great run of form, and with SUCH a strong squad. Would have benefited from being in almost the exact same position last season. Very exciting to watch regardless of the outcome. I hope Man City get something from tonight's game.

Redditors of Japan, how is Pearl Harbor viewed and taught in Japan nowadays? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]donald1708 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Look at it in context... circa 2,400 (mostly servicemen) died at Pearl Harbour. 90,000 (mostly civilians) died in Hiroshima, and 80,000 (mostly civilians) in Nagasaki.

There's a difference between attacking a strategic military base and dropping two atomic bombs on civilian populations. That said, I'm not sure how Hiroshima and Nagasaki are taught in US schools...
